Design Concept
“Akshanksh” means the circumference of the circle. A circle is
considered the most eye-pleasing element as it removes all
the sharpness in a wholesome. From exterior to interior, the
house is a fusion of contemporary and Indian styles. Keeping
minimalism in mind, the architects also wanted the house to
be a focal point, which helped them with the bold choice of
choosing this scarlet beauty. From the detail of the entrance
staircase to the last detail of the skylight, every element holds a
string of blended style.

Living Room
In the family room, the walls were kept
untouched with just a plain color finish,
highlighting the TV unit as well as the sofa with
its composition. The TV unit undertakes the role
of thick support for the cantilever staircase in
the back.

Master Bedroom
The master bedroom is finished in grey granite finish,
following the theme of an arch, just rotated. The
attached toilet has a similar tone of grey, stimulating
peace. The restrooms were incomplete without
adding any shapes to them, resulting in the broken yet
curvature shape of the mirror enhancing all over the
ambiance.

Kids Bedroom
The kids’ bedroom is inspired by the LEGO game. The
architects wanted to bring the memories back to the
teenage clients, but also with a bit of maturity. The
LEGO wall is a subtle combination of two colors -
classic beige and green mint. The study table as well
as the bathroom followed a similar color scheme. The
restroom was designed under flaky terrazzo chips
keeping it young yet subtle.

Section through the Staircase

The section passes through the staricase and the
double-height pooja and dining space. It is the most
interesting part of the house where the dining table
and pooja are situated. It helped the client have a
smooth conversation with their family members all
over the house. Apart from that, it works as great
ventilation for the sunlight as well as air circulation
directly from the kitchen.

Front Facade
The façade was something that broke all the the olden times, has been twisted with a bold
stereotypes of straight windows and flat el- color texture. The circles are deliberately used
evation. The constraint of plot size restricted according to the user of the bedroom as well
the architects from introducing the loops to as the style. The minor detail of giving offsets
the elevation which enhanced the use of old to the arch and creating an alcove out of it
era arch windows in the elevation. The arch enhances the window and helps the throw of
window, originated by the Romans in the natural light in the room with its shape.
