Activity 3.1
The situation in which you can show each of the five Taekwondo tenets is similar to that of a
college student. The first is that you must Courtesy in the sense that you must be a good
person in the eyes of all your classmates and professors. This will benefit you in your college
life since you will be able to communicate with people and ask for help or questions when you
need it. Furthermore, having a pleasant environment can assist you in reducing academic
stress.
2. INTEGRITY
Almost every student cheats in Integrity, as we all know. And we're all aware of the negative
consequences of cheating. Having integrity in your college life can therefore help you not only
to progress intellectually but also to prepare yourself for future work.
3. PERSEVERANCE
Perseverance. This is an important tenet that can be used in the classroom. We need perseverance
to complete all of these tasks as our studies become more tough each semester and the
requirements become more difficult. We tend to give up because of the load in us when we grow
tired of it, especially when we throw in our personal troubles, but we must endure in order to
graduate.
4. SELF-CONTROL
Self-discipline. What good doe’s self-control do at college, we could assert? To begin with, leading a
disciplined lifestyle can assist you in graduating more quickly and successfully. There will be
numerous temptations, such as wanting to go out instead of going to class, napping instead of going
to class, procrastinating, and so on. Basically, if we lack self-control, we are more likely to do things
when a deadline approaches. We procrastinate a lot, which might hinder our progress as college
students.
5. INDOMITABLE SPIRIT
Fighting spirit, or indomitable spirit, is a term used to describe a spirit that is unbreakable. This is
where you are so determined to succeed despite the challenges you may face. You are very
motivated to attend class, seminars, and programs, complete your obligations, and study diligently; in
short, you are very keen to complete your studies and nothing will stand in your way.

calories. It also aids in the improvement of my body's oxygen levels and blood flow.
3. What are other activities do you think you should do to improve your performance and
results in these conditioning activities?
I think I should improve in the flexibility department. While doing the warm-up, I can feel my
muscles are a little bit tense and I am also having a hard time doing the flexibility activity since
I am not that flexible. I want to improve my flexibility because it is one of my goals this year, to
be flexible.
4. How do you feel for the intensity of the activities? Please indicate your RPE rating after

Processing Questions:
Demonstrating the different skills feels new to me since I did taekwondo before. Honestly, I
dislike taekwondo since it contains muscle strength and I am easily getting tired so taekwondo
is not for me. But doing the different skills makes me realize that learning the different skills of
taekwondo is fun yet challenging for me. I want to learn taekwondo with a friend next time. I
think learning taekwondo with friends is more fun.
The basic kicks are challenging for me. I almost ran out of breath while doing the basic kicks. I
want to improve my kicks because I am aware that my kicks were weak. I also want to improve
my posture while doing the different activities because I notice my posture is not that great.
Overall, I want to improve my taekwondo skills because I really want to learn taekwondo for
self-defense purposes.
