Gonzaga Express Donates 200k to LSSSNHS

NICE ANGELA TABOTABO

Governor Dorothy M. Gonzaga and Congressman of District II Ruwel Peter S. Gonzaga handed
over 200,000 pesos to the PTA Officers headed by PTA President Pastor Romeo P. Baon Jr. to
lessen the accumulated fees in school-related projects and programs of students in school during
the first General PTA Assembly for SY 2022-2023 last October 6, 2022.

“As our children grow, financial responsibilities in education also increase that makes it harder
for them to focus at school, therefore, we have decided to donate a sum of money to lessen the
financial burden of parents as well as their children,” Gov. Gonzaga stated.

Other dignitaries from the municipal and barangay level were also present including Hon. Mayor
Ruperto S. Gonzaga III, and Hon. Barangay Captain Monique Bryan D. Gonzaga, followed by
the speech of Mayor Gonzaga about the Libreng Sakay Program that started on August 22, 2022
and now has more than 400 student-recipients.

“During my days, I experienced walking a long way headed to school, feeling the heat and
sweat even before taking my class, so I’ve planned to conduct the Libreng Sakay Program for the
students to be able to focus their attention on their education,” Mayor Gonzaga shared when one
of the parents thanked him.

On the other hand, Barangay Captain Gonzaga raffled off eight cell phones to reward the parents
who made the effort to attend the assembly.

“I am very grateful for your presence as you gather here today despite your busy schedules and
work, so as a token of gratitude, I will give free 8 cellphones to the winners in a raffle draw.

Furthermore, in the assembly, it was agreed upon by all that the PTA contribution would still be
the same amount as 500 pesos.

“It was also decided that students will wear school uniform and that a metal detector will be
purchased by the school for the guards to use during inspections, placing the safety and security
of the students and teachers a top priority,” Pastor Baon added.

Gov. Gonzaga also administered the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected PTA officers to
officially welcome them for being a part of the school's strong foundations.
