PROJECT LINGAP ON HEALTH

(Literacy INtervention and Guidance Assimilation Program):
“Tooth brushing Drill and Hand washing Drill”

PARTICIPANTS: Thirty (30) Grade 7 students of Mataas na Paaralang Neptali A.

Gonzalez (MPNAG)

RATIONALE:

The National Service Training Program (NSTP) is designed to encourage,

develop, and train the students to contribute to the general welfare and the betterment
of life for the members of the community or the enhancement of its facilities, especially
those devoted to improving health education, environment, entrepreneurship, safety,
recreation, and moral of the citizenry, and other social welfare service.

The Project LINGAP or Literacy Intervention and Guidance Assimilation

Program is a special community outreach project conceptualized by Mr. Ryan Jay C.
Verbo, one of the NSTP Instructors in Jose Rizal University to support the school
based program of the Department of Education known as Adopt-A-School Program.

This NSTP Outreach Project will train and encourage the students to contribute
to the general welfare of the community particularly on Health. The Project LINGAP on
students’ personal hygiene is about educating as well as influencing the students with
the knowledge, and guiding them by making sure that they fully understand the session
about personal hygiene practices. We are fully aware about the poliovirus outbreak
here in our community and the young ones are the ones affected by the virus outbreak.
Our group aims to share knowledge to the younger students for them to be aware of
the effects and benefits of practicing personal hygiene. We will share to the students
the different ways on keeping ourselves hygienic. Through this outreach program we
will be able to help stop at least the viruses and germs accumulating into their body.
OBJECTIVES:

1. Fully understand the importance of Personal Hygiene.

a. Helps prevent the accumulation of diseases and illnesses.
b. Helps build confidence and be certain of them how they bring up themselves
in their community and school.
2. Apply the proper way of keeping our body clean and hygienic.
3. Encourage the students to have their personal hygiene kit at all times.
