INDRODUCTION
NAME OF PROJECT: Crop Production

LOCATION: Oberlin’s School Farm

DURATION: Six –Sixteen Weeks (Please state date when project started and the date when
project completed) e.g. 1/9/2020 to 6/10/2020

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Farmers in West Rural St Andrew noticed that growing Pak choi plants with inorganic fertilizer

has faster growth, weighs heavier than ones are grown with organic fertilizer, and generate more

income.

AIM

⮚ To carry out an investigation if Pak choi grown with inorganic fertilizer weigh more than

those grown with organic fertilizer.

⮚ To determine if inorganic fertilizer increases crop growth than ones grown with organic

fertilizer.
METHODOLOGY

EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN

include a diagram of the area to be used for the project.

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENTS

Equipment’s Used

Machete

Shovel

Hoe

Fork

Chord
Hose

Watering pan

Fertilizer

Organic Fertilizer ( Poultry Manure)

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES

This will include activities that will be carried out during the production period that are

important for growth and development of the Crop.

These include:

 Site Selection

 Land Preparation

 Seedling production seed bed Management

 Planting and transplanting

 Irrigation

 Weed control

 Fertilizer/Fertilizing

 Pests and diseases control

 Harvesting and Post Harvesting

 Storage and Marketing

PRESENTATION OF RESULTS
DISCUSSION
What is Organic fertilizer?
What is inorganic fertilizer?
Effects of inorganic and organic fertilizer on plant grow?
CONCLUSION
This is merely a summary of the project and this is based on the outcome of the project.

LIMITATIONS
RECOMMENDATIONS

This should include measures could have put in place in order to maximize productivity/profit.
These could include:

 Crops should have been monitored more closely

 Improve pests and disease management

 Increase selling price etc

Recommendations must be base on observation made and recorded as it relates to the project.
Therefore, one should not just write recommendations and it is not related to the project and its
outcome.

Information to complete this statement will be obtained from the production record that you will
be monitored on a day to day basis.
Analysis of Project
Here students are expected to make comparison between projected and actual income,
expenditure and surplus/shortfall.

Take for example

The project made an actual profit $13,000, while I had forecasted a profit of $20,000. This profit
did not take into consideration labour cost (supplied by students), electricity and water cost
supplied by school.

You are also require using Bar Graph to show their comparison i.e. project income v/s actual
income and projected expenditure v/s actual expenditure.
