ACADEMIC PROJECT
Title: Experimental investigation of process parameters on Surface Roughness in turning operation on
CNC turning center
Description: This project is an experimental study to optimize the Surface Quality in turning operation
on a CNC Turning center using Taguchi as an optimization tool. The effect of various machining parameters
on surface roughness was investigated on the work piece material, aluminum alloy 6061. Other control
factors, namely, feed rate, depth of cut, cutting speed and cutting tool were varied in the experiments to
measure surface roughness on all the samples of the work piece
