Naboth on high among the people. Praise ye the LORD. The men of Anathoth, an hundred twenty and eight.

By thy messengers thou hast reproached the

Lord, and hast said, With the multitude of my chariots I am come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon, and will cut down the
tall cedar trees thereof, [and] the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the lodgings of his borders, [and into] the forest of his
Carmel. And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD hath heard that I [was] hated, he hath therefore given me this [son]
also: and she called his name Simeon. And he said unto them, The LORD [is] witness against you, and his anointed [is] witness this day, that ye have
not found ought in my hand. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. I
also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but
they did evil before mine eyes, and chose [that] in which I delighted not. Wherefore Levi hath no part nor inheritance with his brethren; the LORD
[is] his inheritance, according as the LORD thy God promised him. Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets,
[and by] all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments [and] my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded
your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets. And they cried out again, Crucify him. And the people said unto Saul, Do what
seemeth good unto thee. And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the
fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the
Egyptians. Also in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering unto the LORD, after your weeks [be out], ye shall have an holy
convocation; ye shall do no servile work: But ye shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the LORD; two young bullocks, one ram, seven
lambs of the first year; And their meat offering of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals unto one bullock, two tenth deals unto one ram, A
several tenth deal unto one lamb, throughout the seven lambs; [And] one kid of the goats, to make an atonement for you. And he looked up, and saw
the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? And
thou shalt make staves [of] shittim wood, and overlay them with gold. I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time;
and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare: Since ye seek a proof
of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you. And the second took her to wife, and he died childless. And they all
wept sore, and fell on Paul’s neck, and kissed him, Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spake, that they should see his face no more. This
[is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families. For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put
[him] in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife. Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, [even] Pharaoh
and all his army slain by the sword, saith the Lord GOD. And the king said unto Joab, Behold now, I have done this thing: go therefore, bring the
young man Absalom again. But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.
And thy meat which thou shalt eat [shall be] by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it. Then he said unto them, Go your
way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for [this] day [is] holy unto our Lord: neither be
ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him, And
desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him. And I will cause them to eat the flesh of
their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their
enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them. For the LORD hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel:
for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches. And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD
hath put in my mouth? Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore. And they
send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in [his] words. And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone
like unto the first: and I will write upon [these] tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest. But when Athaliah the mother
of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal of the house of Judah. But ye said, No; for we will flee upon
horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift. And all the people saw the cloudy
pillar stand [at] the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man [in] his tent door. As ye have therefore received Christ
Jesus the Lord, [so] walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with
thanksgiving. Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with
thee shall perish. And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. And there
came against Gibeah ten thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and the battle was sore: but they knew not that evil [was] near them. And the king of
Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil? And the woman conceived, and bare a son:
and when she saw him that he [was a] goodly [child], she hid him three months. All the days that he separateth [himself] unto the LORD he shall come
at no dead body. When Jesus heard [of it], he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard [thereof], they
followed him on foot out of the cities. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their
affliction, [and] to keep himself unspotted from the world. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread
from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and
caused my people Israel to err. So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the
house of Obededom the Gittite. And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own
hands. And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that [it] may be above the curious
girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod. And he sprinkled thereof upon the altar seven times, and anointed the
altar and all his vessels, both the laver and his foot, to sanctify them. These things are good and profitable unto men. And ye came near unto me
every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up,
and into what cities we shall come. His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors. The eye
[that] mocketh at [his] father, and despiseth to obey [his] mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
But Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one cometh into the house
of the LORD: and the priests that kept the door put therein all the money [that was] brought into the house of the LORD. Yet the children of thy
people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal. That which dieth of itself, or is torn [with beasts], he
shall not eat to defile himself therewith: I [am] the LORD. I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. [Then] Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said,
Blessed [be] the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed
the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. And they reasoned with themselves,
saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him? Ishbosheth Saul’s son [was] forty years old when he
began to reign over Israel, and reigned two years. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which
were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. And
Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded. Thus Ezekiel is unto you a sign: according to all that he hath done
shall ye do: and when this cometh, ye shall know that I [am] the Lord GOD. Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? The Lord GOD
hath spoken, who can but prophesy? But they took the head of Ishbosheth, and buried [it] in the sepulchre of Abner in Hebron. And for a drink
offering thou shalt offer the third [part] of an hin of wine, [for] a sweet savour unto the LORD. [Though] I [were] perfect, [yet] would I not know
my soul: I would despise my life. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave [it] to Judas Iscariot, [the son] of Simon. From that time forth began
Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be
killed, and be raised again the third day. [The people] asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. Now these [are]
the judgments which thou shalt set before them. The baptism of John, was [it] from heaven, or of men? Remember his marvellous works that he hath
done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen. And [it was] made with
cherubims and palm trees, so that a palm tree [was] between a cherub and a cherub; and [every] cherub had two faces; So that the face of a man [was]
toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side: [it was] made through all the house round
about. A wise [man] feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident. And what one nation in the earth [is] like thy people
Israel, whom God went to redeem [to be] his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy
people, whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt? What [ailed] thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led
thee in right paths. And he shall put off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry forth the ashes without the camp unto a clean place.
But if he wash [them] not, nor bathe his flesh; then he shall bear his iniquity. And the passengers [that] pass through the land, when [any] seeth a
man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog. Such [is] the way of an adulterous woman;
she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness. And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by
dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets. For with [the jeopardy of] their lives they brought it. The words of his mouth [are] iniquity and deceit: he
hath left off to be wise, [and] to do good. [Is this] of thy whoredoms a small matter, That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause
them to pass through [the fire] for them? And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then
shall the end come. Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of
silver, and jewels of gold. But Moses’ hands [were] heavy; and they took a stone, and put [it] under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur
stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And he
said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy [it]. He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as
a vision of the night. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of
the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from
dead works to serve the living God? The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father’s house, days that have not come, from
the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; [even] the king of Assyria. Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your
principalities shall come down, [even] the crown of your glory. And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing
it [is] secret? For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved. And Judah was put to the worse
before Israel, and they fled every man to his tent. And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the
hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall
water the valley of Shittim. Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come. Our fathers trusted in
thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these [things]? I know thy
pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle. For Israel and the Philistines had put the
battle in array, army against army. And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be
humbled: But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness. And the LORD hath blessed my
master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and
camels, and asses. And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do. And he made the horns thereof on
the four corners of it; the horns thereof were of the same: and he overlaid it with brass. Now therefore that I am come to speak of this thing unto
my lord the king, [it is] because the people have made me afraid: and thy handmaid said, I will now speak unto the king; it may be that the king
will perform the request of his handmaid. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Judge not, that ye
be not judged. And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell [it] to any in the town. Wherefore his servants said
unto him, Let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin: and let her stand before the king, and let her cherish him, and let her lie in
thy bosom, that my lord the king may get heat. For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men,
about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. Ten cubits [shall be]
the length of a board, and a cubit and a half [shall be] the breadth of one board. And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand
forth. And now see where the king’s spear [is], and the cruse of water that [was] at his bolster. All the firstling males that come of thy herd and
of thy flock thou shalt sanctify unto the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy bullock, nor shear the firstling of thy
sheep. But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard [them; then] whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or
concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the LORD shall forgive her. And there was a very sore battle
that day; and Abner was beaten, and the men of Israel, before the servants of David. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, [that
there is] no fear of God before his eyes. And this [is] the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the LORD, and
his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer. Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat
which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. Whoso despiseth the word shall
be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded. Remember them, O my God, because they have defiled the priesthood, and the
covenant of the priesthood, and of the Levites. And he lay with her that night. Come to Bethel, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression;
and bring your sacrifices every morning, [and] your tithes after three years: And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim [and]
publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran,
and Cheran. And they murmured against her. Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he [was] the son of an harlot: and Gilead
begat Jephthah. And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the
LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? And when the children of Israel heard [of it], the whole congregation of the children of Israel
gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up to war against them. Bless the LORD, O my soul. And we are witnesses of all things which he did
both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly; Not to
all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, [even] to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead. And the Lord
direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. And David came to the
two hundred men, which were so faint that they could not follow David, whom they had made also to abide at the brook Besor: and they went forth to
meet David, and to meet the people that [were] with him: and when David came near to the people, he saluted them. (Now Hebron was built seven years
before Zoan in Egypt.) And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it
between two upon a staff; and [they brought] of the pomegranates, and of the figs. The children of Bethlehem, an hundred twenty and three. They
shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west. And Simon Peter answered
and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel
said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money: for Naboth is not alive, but
dead. Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished. And the LORD gave
them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD
delivered all their enemies into their hand. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace. And [hast thou] not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the
priests? Four tables [were] on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of the gate; eight tables, whereupon they slew [their
sacrifices]. Of the sons of Uzziel; Michah the first, and Jesiah the second. We asked their names also, to certify thee, that we might write the
names of the men that [were] the chief of them. And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, [and]
go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour. At
that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the
bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves: And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon,
and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom
they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth. And he said unto him, Say now
unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what [is] to be done for thee? Then these men assembled unto the king, and said
unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians [is], That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed. The
black horses which [are] therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south
country. And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s
porch. They have heard that I sigh: [there is] none to comfort me: all mine enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that thou hast done
[it]: thou wilt bring the day [that] thou hast called, and they shall be like unto me. A Song of degrees of David. So Hiram made an end of doing all
the work that he made king Solomon for the house of the LORD: 1The two pillars, and the [two] bowls of the chapiters that [were] on the top of the
two pillars; and the two networks, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters which [were] upon the top of the pillars; 1And four hundred pomegranates
for the two networks, [even] two rows of pomegranates for one network, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that [were] upon the pillars; 1And
the ten bases, and ten lavers on the bases; 1And one sea, and twelve oxen under the sea; 1And the pots, and the shovels, and the basons: and all
these vessels, which Hiram made to king Solomon for the house of the LORD, [were of] bright brass. My little children, these things write I unto
you, that ye sin not. And the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand; and whosoever [else] cometh into
the house, he shall be put to death: but be ye with the king when he cometh in, and when he goeth out. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well
seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. And my speech and my preaching [was] not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of
the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Would ye stay for them from having
husbands? And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And if any man’s
seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even. And when his disciples James and John
saw [this], they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But when the husbandmen
saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. And in the synagogue there
was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, Saying, Let [us] alone; what have we to do with thee, [thou]
Jesus of Nazareth? Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body
shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost. For [it was] not an enemy [that] reproached me; then I could have borne
[it]: neither [was it] he that hated me [that] did magnify [himself] against me; then I would have hid myself from him: But [it was] thou, a man
mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance. But David tarried at Jerusalem. Now Tobiah the Ammonite [was] by him, and he said, Even that which they
build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall. Better [is] a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more
be admonished. And he answered him, I [am] as thou [art], and my people as thy people; and [we will be] with thee in the war. Did I not say, Do not
deceive me? We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up [our] banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions. The rich
man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he [is] not. And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before,
that ye might have a second benefit; And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia unto you, and of you to be brought on my
way toward Judaea. Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? Give
a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth. And [some] of them of understanding shall fall, to
try them, and to purge, and to make [them] white, [even] to the time of the end: because [it is] yet for a time appointed. Then said he unto them,
Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and
fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir. And they came unto John, and said unto
him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all [men] come to him. I will run the
way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart. Mine eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members [are] as a shadow. And Laban
said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold [this] pillar, which I have cast betwixt me and thee; This heap [be] witness, and [this] pillar [be]
witness, that I will not pass over this heap to thee, and that thou shalt not pass over this heap and this pillar unto me, for harm. Then said
Samuel, Bring ye hither to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. Shall I fall down to the stock of a tree? Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto
him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. And he that curseth his father,
or his mother, shall surely be put to death. But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. When thou goest out
to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, [and] a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God [is]
with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his
father had done. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. And immediately there fell from his eyes
as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff
in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths. And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Padanaram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah,
Jacob’s and Esau’s mother. And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that [were] round about Judah, so that they made no war
against Jehoshaphat. And as we tarried [there] many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus. But as then he that was born
after the flesh persecuted him [that was born] after the Spirit, even so [it is] now. And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could
not so much as eat bread. The beginning of strife [is as] when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with. She
will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying, I beseech thee, O
LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done [that which is] good in thy sight. And the
children of Shobal [were] these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And, behold, [one] like
the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the
vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. Is thine eye evil, because I am good? My son, keep my words, and lay up my
commandments with thee. The LORD shall trouble thee this day. And [it was] according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, [even] according
to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions [were] like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my
face. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God [was] upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me. Surely
there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold [where] they fine [it]. Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man
with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, [but he was] a leper.
And Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, unto the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to them that brought up Ahab’s [children], saying, Now
as soon as this letter cometh to you, seeing your master’s sons [are] with you, and [there are] with you chariots and horses, a fenced city also,
and armour; Look even out the best and meetest of your master’s sons, and set [him] on his father’s throne, and fight for your master’s house. And I
will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which [is] upon thee, and will put [it] upon them; and they shall bear the
burden of the people with thee, that thou bear [it] not thyself alone. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make
