between us and you.

For there is a man whose labour [is] in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in
equity; yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it [for] his portion. [He is]
wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened [himself] against him, and hath
prospered? The men of Kirjathjearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty and three. I
have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let [him] go. What
profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun? Ye stiffnecked and
uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers [did], so
[do] ye. Whose damnation is just. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. No man
also having drunk old [wine] straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better. And the
same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between
themselves. The thoughts of the diligent [tend] only to plenteousness; but of every one [that
is] hasty only to want. Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the
hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend. In his days the Edomites
revolted from under the dominion of Judah, and made themselves a king. But they were the ruin of
him, and of all Israel. Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch;
they [are] unclean to you. And there ran a man of Benjamin out of the army, and came to Shiloh
the same day with his clothes rent, and with earth upon his head. Israel hath cast off [the
thing that is] good: the enemy shall pursue him. Because his own works were evil, and his
brother’s righteous. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over
Jordan; And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do thou
remember that which thy servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of
Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart. The priest that offereth it for sin shall
eat it: in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation.
He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world. So David would not
remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the
house of Obededom the Gittite. And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? Then the LORD rained
upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; And he overthrew
those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon
the ground. And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of [any man’s]
life among you, but of the ship. Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.
For all things [are] for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of
many redound to the glory of God. And [there were] liers in wait abiding in the chamber. If
there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into [your] house, neither
bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. And the LORD
said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess,
that thou mayest inherit his land. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand
upon me. And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen souls. And whosoever
lieth carnally with a woman, that [is] a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all
redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because
she was not free. They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost
thou teach us? And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as
were of a free heart burnt offerings. And Peter said, Man, I am not. Then they said one to
another, We do not well: this day [is] a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry
till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and
tell the king’s household. And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth
his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled. Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and all
that he did, and his sin that he sinned, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of
the kings of Judah? To write the same things to you, to me indeed [is] not grievous, but for you
[it is] safe. And every soul that eateth that which died [of itself], or that which was torn
[with beasts, whether it be] one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his
clothes, and bathe [himself] in water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean. He
discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death. And they
filled them up to the brim. Dan also and Javan going to and fro occupied in thy fairs: bright
iron, cassia, and calamus, were in thy market. Was he found among thieves? Shall he prosper? But
when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may
be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. All the
inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephothmaim, [and] all the Sidonians, them
will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the
Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee. On the eighth day ye shall have a
solemn assembly: ye shall do no servile work [therein]: But ye shall offer a burnt offering, a
sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD: one bullock, one ram, seven lambs of
the first year without blemish: Their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullock,
for the ram, and for the lambs, [shall be] according to their number, after the manner: And one
goat [for] a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, and his
drink offering. Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper,
call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor [thy] rich neighbours; lest
they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee. And [David] made him houses in the city
of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent. [And] as the lad
ran, he shot an arrow beyond him. They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the
people. And where [are] the dwelling places of the wicked? For I was alive without the law once:
but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the
LORD [be] his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that
coucheth beneath, And for the precious fruits [brought forth] by the sun, and for the precious
things put forth by the moon, And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the
precious things of the lasting hills, And for the precious things of the earth and fulness
thereof, and [for] the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let [the blessing] come upon the
head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him [that was] separated from his brethren. We
have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us. The same was in the beginning with
God. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. In the fifth [day] of the
month, which [was] the fifth year of king Jehoiachin’s captivity, The word of the LORD came
expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river
Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him. Thus [were] the journeyings of the children
of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward. [is it] not [so]? And they shall no
more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. And, behold, the
man clothed with linen, which [had] the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have
done as thou hast commanded me. In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.

unto him to continue forty [and] two months. For they considered not [the miracle] of the
loaves: for their heart was hardened. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk
in truth. And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother’s wife, and marry her, and raise up
seed to thy brother. And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of
Egypt their glory. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee [that] I may find grace in thy sight, my
lord, O king. And they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn
again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, [Is it] not because
[there is] not a God in Israel, [that] thou sendest to inquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron?
The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for
thee to carry [thy] bed. And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the
LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in
Jerusalem, and cast [them] out of the city. And they put his armour in the house of their gods,
and fastened his head in the temple of Dagon. And he communed with them, saying, If it be your
mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and intreat for me to Ephron the son
of Zohar, That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which [is] in the end of his
field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a buryingplace
amongst you. The children of Ephraim, [being] armed, [and] carrying bows, turned back in the day

commanded you? Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast
paid the uttermost farthing. Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let [men]
say among the nations, The LORD reigneth. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of
[our] lips giving thanks to his name. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into
blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. And thou shalt put into the ark
the testimony which I shall give thee. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the
ditch. The baptism of John, whence was it? For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant
you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the
inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in
love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth,
and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled
with all the fulness of God. Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he
hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall. And after him Abdon the son of

[men] shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in
their glory shall ye boast yourselves. And the elders of Jabesh said unto him, Give us seven
days’ respite, that we may send messengers unto all the coasts of Israel: and then, if [there

I will no more do thee harm, because my soul was precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I have
played the fool, and have erred exceedingly. The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness;
according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me. And Jesus, perceiving the thought
of their heart, took a child, and set him by him, And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive
this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me:
for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great. Shall they escape by iniquity? I
will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows, Which my lips have
uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble. Or look we for another? Father, I will
that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory,
which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. Wherefore now
let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do [it]: for [there is] no iniquity with the
LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts. The wisdom of the prudent [is] to
understand his way: but the folly of fools [is] deceit. And I will take thee, and thou shalt
reign according to all that thy soul desireth, and shalt be king over Israel. And the inhabitant
of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such [is] our expectation, whither we flee for help
to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape? [Our] friends salute thee. Ye
have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill
shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother
without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother,
Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger
of hell fire. And there was great joy in that city. And the thing pleased the king and all the

in the vessels thereof. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of
Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you, Then it shall be,

was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou
didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke. And all the

the LORD, and the king. Mine eye runneth down with rivers of water for the destruction of the
daughter of my people. And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words
fall to the ground. And all the people shall say, Amen. And they said, Nothing. Therefore came I
[unto you] without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye
have sent for me? Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I
should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all [men] see
what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in
God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and
powers in heavenly [places] might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According
to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and
access with confidence by the faith of him. And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed
David king over the house of Judah. When they swooned as the wounded in the streets of the city,
when their soul was poured out into their mothers’ bosom. I told you before, and foretell you,
as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore
have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare: Since ye seek a proof of
Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you. Then answered Bildad

stand? When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, [as thou art] in the way, give
diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge
deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison. But with an overrunning
flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies. For
all the promises of God in him [are] yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. And he

understanding is of an excellent spirit. Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou
art greatly despised. For thou hast delivered my soul from death: [wilt] not [thou deliver] my
feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living? Woe to the rebellious
children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but
not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not
asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the
shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the
shadow of Egypt [your] confusion. And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed

and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy
handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed. And thou shalt make the court of the tabernacle:
for the south side southward [there shall be] hangings for the court [of] fine twined linen of

[shall be of] brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets [shall be of] silver. Surely in
vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird. Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken
to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the
covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: And he will love thee, and bless thee,
and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy
corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the
land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee. Have I need of mad men, that ye have brought
this [fellow] to play the mad man in my presence? Happy [are] thy men, and happy [are] these thy

the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I [am] the God of Abraham, and
the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? If I had called, and he had answered me; [yet] would I
not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice. He spake of Judas Iscariot [the son] of Simon:
for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve. The husbandman that laboureth

have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also
is compassed with infirmity. The rich [man] had exceeding many flocks and herds: But the poor
[man] had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew
up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own
cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter. A fool also is full of words: a man
cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him? And Moab shall be
destroyed from [being] a people, because he hath magnified [himself] against the LORD. But the

kill the bullock of the sin offering which [is] for himself: And he shall take a censer full of
burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense
beaten small, and bring [it] within the vail: And he shall put the incense upon the fire before
the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that [is] upon the testimony,
that he die not: And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle [it] with his
finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood
with his finger seven times. Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised [is]

they had devised devices against me, [saying], Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof,
and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered. So

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed [like] a field, and Jerusalem shall become
