Mephaath with her suburbs; four cities.

The sons of Simeon [were], Nemuel, and Jamin, Jarib,

Zerah, [and] Shaul: Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son. [But] he shall not defile
himself, [being] a chief man among his people, to profane himself. Arise, and let us go by
night, and let us destroy her palaces. How much less shall I answer him, [and] choose out my
words [to reason] with him? Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them [shall
remain], nor of their multitude, nor of any of theirs: neither [shall there be] wailing for
them. Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city [where] David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill
sacrifices. He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. Then came she and
worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia,
Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews [that] Jesus [was] Christ. They grope
in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like [a] drunken [man]. Grace [be] with
you. Mine eyes [shall be] upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that
walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me. Let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may
be justified: or let them hear, and say, [It is] truth. For as soon as Zion travailed, she
brought forth her children. In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein
thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that
rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain. Against
whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed: But
had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead,
whom Paul affirmed to be alive. For Israel and the Philistines had put the battle in array, army
against army. And by the border of Judah, from the east side unto the west side, shall be the
offering which ye shall offer of five and twenty thousand [reeds in] breadth, and [in] length as
one of the [other] parts, from the east side unto the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in
the midst of it. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the
glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost. Let him that stole steal no more: but
rather let him labour, working with [his] hands the thing which is good, that he may have to
give to him that needeth. And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the Lord shall set his
hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from
Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and
from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went
unto them, walking on the sea. These [were] their cities unto the reign of David. And let them
tell thee now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt. And if any
beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the
even. [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye
have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. And he saith unto them,
Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Then certain of the heads of the children of
Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of
Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that came from the war, And said
unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the
LORD [already], ye intend to add [more] to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is
great, and [there is] fierce wrath against Israel. And Jesus put forth [his] hand, and touched
him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And Elisha said unto him, Whence [comest thou], Gehazi? No
man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who
hath chosen him to be a soldier. Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill
every woman that hath known man by lying with him. They are turned back to the iniquities of
their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them:
the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their
fathers. And Pharaoh’s servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? When
he had said these words unto them, he abode [still] in Galilee. Sufficient to such a man [is]
this punishment, which [was inflicted] of many. For whatsoever things were written aforetime
were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have
hope. So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote
the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled
into their tents. Even now. One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him,
There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they
among so many? Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar,
and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the
heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where [is] their God?
And he said, The Jews have agreed to desire thee that thou wouldest bring down Paul to morrow
into the council, as though they would inquire somewhat of him more perfectly. Then Samuel took
the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came
upon David from that day forward. Hast thou not heard long ago, [how] I have done it; [and] of
ancient times, that I have formed it? Will he keep [it] to the end? For God hath put in their
hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words
of God shall be fulfilled. Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him
that passeth out and him that returneth. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under
the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up
between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that [was] under him went away. And let them
gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh,
and let them keep food in the cities. [There is] a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and
their eyelids are lifted up. Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid?
The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and [it is] his glory to pass over a transgression.
And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man
turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land. And when she looked, behold, the
king stood by a pillar, as the manner [was], and the princes and the trumpeters by the king, and
all the people of the land rejoiced, and blew with trumpets: and Athaliah rent her clothes, and
cried, Treason, Treason. And [there is] none upon earth [that] I desire beside thee. And Rebekah
had a brother, and his name [was] Laban: and Laban ran out unto the man, unto the well. And ye
shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou
wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God. [Also] the children of those that had been
carried away, which were come out of the captivity, offered burnt offerings unto the God of
Israel, twelve bullocks for all Israel, ninety and six rams, seventy and seven lambs, twelve he
goats [for] a sin offering: all [this was] a burnt offering unto the LORD. The LORD [will be]
terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and [men] shall worship him,
every one from his place, [even] all the isles of the heathen. [Is] the law then against the
promises of God? Therefore [is] wrath upon thee from before the LORD. Therefore he would not
drink it. All the days of the afflicted [are] evil: but he that is of a merry heart [hath] a
continual feast. And Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? The
servant’s name was Malchus. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high
priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter. Fill ye up then the measure
of your fathers. But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the LORD
commanded Moses. And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar [was] Nethaneel the
son of Zuar. If any man offend not in word, the same [is] a perfect man, [and] able also to
bridle the whole body. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
Now therefore, my lord, [as] the LORD liveth, and [as] thy soul liveth, seeing the LORD hath
withholden thee from coming to [shed] blood, and from avenging thyself with thine own hand, now
let thine enemies, and they that seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal. Go not up, for the LORD [is]
not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies. And he said also to the people, When
ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.
The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said [to be] bountiful. Because
with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and
strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by
promising him life: Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will
deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD. The measure thereof
[is] longer than the earth, and broader than the sea. For some [of them] thought, because Judas
had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy [those things] that we have need of against the
feast; or, that he should give something to the poor. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the
Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. For I
[will be] unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, [even] I, will
tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue [him]. And the bones of Saul and
Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his
father: and they performed all that the king commanded. But the LORD shall endure for ever: he
hath prepared his throne for judgment. And [thou], O God, [which] didst not go out with our
armies? She also lieth in wait as [for] a prey, and increaseth the transgressors among men. And
if ought of the flesh of the consecrations, or of the bread, remain unto the morning, then thou
shalt burn the remainder with fire: it shall not be eaten, because it [is] holy. And when they
were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him, And ran through that whole region round
about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was. If ye
love me, keep my commandments. And his mother’s name [was] Zebudah, the daughter of Pedaiah of
Rumah. And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards
thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars. For who [is] God save the LORD?
So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. For they stumbled at
that stumblingstone; As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of
offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Who can stand before his
indignation? And they went out both of them into the field. He that walketh in his uprightness
feareth the LORD: but [he that is] perverse in his ways despiseth him. Thou hast heard my voice:
hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry. And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles,
and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they [are]
the seed [which] the LORD hath blessed. Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also
be like unto him. Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us
with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in
him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in
love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself,
according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he
hath made us accepted in the beloved. For she [had] said unto the servant, What man [is] this
that walketh in the field to meet us? Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? [A Psalm] of
David. [Thou] fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: And that which thou
sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of
some other [grain]: But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own
body. But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and
drink with publicans and sinners? Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the
north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim. Hast thou gathered thy company to
take a prey? For it came to pass, that, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was
not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him. The sixth [captain] for the
sixth month [was] Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite: and in his course [were] twenty and four
thousand. And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned,
and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.
And the sons of Dan; Hushim. Call him, that he may eat bread. After these things did king
Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat
above all the princes that [were] with him. And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his
mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt. And the remnant that is escaped of the house of
Judah shall yet again take root downward, and bear fruit upward. Thus saith the Lord GOD; An
evil, an only evil, behold, is come. The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is]
the law. So they came to Jericho. Ashkelon shall see [it], and fear; Gaza also [shall see it],
and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall
perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited. Horror hath taken hold upon me because of
the wicked that forsake thy law. And they spake unto him, saying, If thou be kind to this
people, and please them, and speak good words to them, they will be thy servants for ever.
Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye [that are] escaped of the nations: they
have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god [that] cannot
save. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea, and [there] abode. Hear, O heavens, and give
ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have
rebelled against me. The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? O thou daughter dwelling in Egypt, furnish
thyself to go into captivity: for Noph shall be waste and desolate without an inhabitant.
Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD in the
sabbaths and in the new moons. All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the
princes, the counsellers, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal
statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for
thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions. Only [they would]
that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do. The plowers plowed
upon my back: they made long their furrows. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day
should overtake you as a thief. And she said, The Philistines [be] upon thee, Samson. And in the
days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their
tents throughout all the east [land] of Gilead. And [we have] none inheritance in the son of
Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel: [and] now, David, see to thine own house. Now
therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their
mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel. Cursed [shalt]
thou [be] when thou comest in, and cursed [shalt] thou [be] when thou goest out. For what hath
man of all his labour, and of the vexation of his heart, wherein he hath laboured under the sun?
And when ye had girded on every man his weapons of war, ye were ready to go up into the hill.
Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabeshgilead: and all the men of Jabesh
said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee. And the women said unto
Naomi, Blessed [be] the LORD, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name
may be famous in Israel. And who [is] that shepherd that will stand before me? Thus saith God
the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth,
and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to
them that walk therein: I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand,
and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To
open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, [and] them that sit in darkness
out of the prison house. The merchants among the people shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a
terror, and never [shalt be] any more. And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of
Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said: He hath said, which heard the words
of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling [into a trance], but having his eyes open:
How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, [and] thy tabernacles, O Israel! As the valleys are they
spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath
planted, [and] as cedar trees beside the waters. And Samson said unto her, If they bind me with
seven green withs that were never dried, then shall I be weak, and be as another man. Then these
presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live
for ever. Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own
country: for I [am] the LORD your God. And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.
And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what
was befallen to the possessed of the devils. As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when
I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, Neither
give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly
edifying which is in faith: [so do]. Blessed be he that did take knowledge of thee. So let all
thine enemies perish, O LORD: but [let] them that love him [be] as the sun when he goeth forth
in his might. Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her
eyelids. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as
have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; (For not the hearers of the law [are] just
before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. And this day shall be unto you for a
memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it
a feast by an ordinance for ever. They are all gone aside, they are [all] together become
filthy: [there is] none that doeth good, no, not one. Therefore the LORD was very angry with
Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only. And
thou shalt make a covering for the tent [of] rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering above [of]
badgers’ skins. Therefore they gathered [them] together, and filled twelve baskets with the
fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten. And
he did [that which was] right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Uzziah
did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the LORD. Among the smooth [stones] of the stream
[is] thy portion; they, they [are] thy lot: even to them hast thou poured a drink offering, thou
hast offered a meat offering. God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry [with the wicked]
every day. The children of the other Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four. And [this]
your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though [it were] the corn of the
threshingfloor, and as the fulness of the winepress. And [there is] no God else beside me; a
just God and a Saviour; [there is] none beside me. And the Egyptians made the children of Israel
to serve with rigour: And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in
brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them
serve, [was] with rigour. And he made an house of high places, and made priests of the lowest of
the people, which were not of the sons of Levi. For we which have believed do enter into rest,
as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works
were finished from the foundation of the world. And the first went, and poured out his vial upon
the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the
beast, and [upon] them which worshipped his image. And it came to pass, when the king of Ai saw
[it], that they hasted and rose up early, and the men of the city went out against Israel to
battle, he and all his people, at a time appointed, before the plain; but he wist not that
[there were] liers in ambush against him behind the city. And it came to pass as they came, when
David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities
of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments
of musick. And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will
we obey. [Likewise] shall the ladies of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king’s
princes, which have heard of the deed of the queen. His own hands shall bring the offerings of
the LORD made by fire, the fat with the breast, it shall he bring, that the breast may be waved
[for] a wave offering before the LORD. But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ. And he made the breastplate [of] cunning work, like the work of the ephod;
[of] gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen. And the rest of the acts of
Joash, and all that he did, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of
Judah? So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead. Ishmael
also slew all the Jews that were with him, [even] with Gedaliah, at Mizpah, and the Chaldeans
that were found there, [and] the men of war. And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David
arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king’s house: and from the roof he saw a
woman washing herself; and the woman [was] very beautiful to look upon. And he went thither to
Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until
he came to Naioth in Ramah. Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The
seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother,
and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee. And
it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in
the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth [day] of the month, [that] Evilmerodach king of
Babylon in the [first] year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and
brought him forth out of prison, And spake kindly unto him, and set his throne above the throne
of the kings that [were] with him in Babylon, And changed his prison garments: and he did
continually eat bread before him all the days of his life. Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread,
and giveth them, and fish likewise. Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there
rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and
go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. If thou doest
well, shalt thou not be accepted? Amen. But now we see not yet all things put under him. Now
these [are] they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul
the son of Kish: and they [were] among the mighty men, helpers of the war. And it shall be,
[that] thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. For
every meat offering for the priest shall be wholly burnt: it shall not be eaten. And Jacob rose
up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put [for] his pillows, and set it up
[for] a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it. And the evening and the morning were the
second day. Thus ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD of all your tithes, which
ye receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof the LORD’S heave offering to
Aaron the priest. For [riches] certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward
heaven. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. Peter, an apostle of
Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and
Bithynia, Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the
Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace,
be multiplied. Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter
into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you,
and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I [am]
the LORD. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where
the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
And [some of] the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. Also he said, Bring
the vail that [thou hast] upon thee, and hold it. Or, Deliver me from the enemy’s hand? He built
Eloth, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers. For Israel slideth
back as a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed them as a lamb in a large place. Who [is] a
God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of
his heritage? And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from
the men of Jabeshgilead, which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the
Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa: And he brought up
from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of
them that were hanged. And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau’s son; and she bare to Eliphaz
Amalek: these [were] the sons of Adah Esau’s wife. For the LORD hath poured out upon you the
spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he
covered. And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto
them: and they made ready the passover. So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed
unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus. And the contrary is in thee from [other]
women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that thou givest
a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary. For he doth not afflict
willingly nor grieve the children of men. The simple believeth every word: but the prudent [man]
looketh well to his going. And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise [is] in the
gospel throughout all the churches; And not [that] only, but who was also chosen of the churches
to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord,
and [declaration of] your ready mind: Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this
abundance which is administered by us: Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the
Lord, but also in the sight of men. And a [certain] man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the
king of Israel between the joints of the harness: therefore he said to his chariot man, Turn
thine hand, that thou mayest carry me out of the host; for I am wounded. And God said unto
Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared
unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother. For if I pray in an [unknown]
tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. Now as he walked by the sea of
Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, This [is it] that [belongeth] unto the Levites: from
twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle
of the congregation: And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service
[thereof], and shall serve no more: But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of
the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. And Solomon slept with his
fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his
stead. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel. These [are] the Kenites that came of Hemath, the
father of the house of Rechab. Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of the chariots
that [were] with him, saying, Fight ye not with small or great, save only with the king of
Israel. In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians
afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh. Praise,
O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Selah. The grass withereth, the flower
fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. God that made the world and all things
therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all
life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on
all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of
