not burnt. Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called [the synagogue] of the
Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with
Stephen. So the vision that I had seen went up from me. And his heart was lifted up in the ways
of the LORD: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah. Thou shalt not also
go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink. And the LORD said unto
Joshua, Stretch out the spear that [is] in thy hand toward Ai; for I will give it into thine
hand. I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
And king Solomon gave unto the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside
[that] which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. And a little after, they that stood by said
again to Peter, Surely thou art [one] of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth
[thereto]. Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? [Touching] the Almighty, we cannot
find him out: [he is] excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not
afflict. Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him. And he shall
give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin. And
when he had set the brands on fire, he let [them] go into the standing corn of the Philistines,
and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards [and] olives. For
what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes
before our God; Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect
that which is lacking in your faith? They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it
for the multitude of fishes. But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good
tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring
greatly to see us, as we also [to see] you: Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in
all our affliction and distress by your faith: For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.
But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? I will destroy also all the
beasts thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any
more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them. Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we
hope in thee. So all the cities for the children of Merari by their families, which were
remaining of the families of the Levites, were [by] their lot twelve cities. And he brought
forth the spoil of the city in great abundance. And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his
brother’s son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had
gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan
they came. Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.
And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, [so that] all that hear will laugh with me. And I
have declared unto them thy name, and will declare [it]: that the love wherewith thou hast loved
me may be in them, and I in them. And when Abigail saw David, she hasted, and lighted off the
ass, and fell before David on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, And fell at his feet,
and said, Upon me, my lord, [upon] me [let this] iniquity [be]: and let thine handmaid, I pray
thee, speak in thine audience, and hear the words of thine handmaid. Jude, the servant of Jesus
Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in
Jesus Christ, [and] called: Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. And he went up
from thence to Beersheba. Because ye have said, The LORD hath raised us up prophets in Babylon;
[Know] that thus saith the LORD of the king that sitteth upon the throne of David, and of all
the people that dwelleth in this city, [and] of your brethren that are not gone forth with you
into captivity; Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the
famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so
evil. Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved
others; himself he cannot save. And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and
tarried in a place that was far off. And being let go, they went to their own company, and
reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. This same Jesus, which is
taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
[was] thine anger against the rivers? And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the
ears of them that hear shall hearken. [Who] passing through the valley of Baca make it a well;
the rain also filleth the pools. Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return
from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited
his people in giving them bread. And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: [it is] the food
of the offering made by fire for a sweet savour: all the fat [is] the LORD’S. And [the spirit]
cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said,
He is dead. And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are
under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are
without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I
might gain them that are without law. And he answered, I do hear. And, behold, I will lay bands
upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days
of thy siege. Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I
stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting. But the chief
priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him, And could not find
what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him. Thus the Jews smote all
their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and slaughter, and destruction, and did what they
would unto those that hated them. The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; [therefore]
shall he beg in harvest, and [have] nothing. A son honoureth [his] father, and a servant his
master: if then I [be] a father, where [is] mine honour? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but
every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest
overcome when thou art judged. But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD God of
Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to
sin. Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you. And he
said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest. He is antichrist, that denieth the
Father and the Son. For we know him that hath said, Vengeance [belongeth] unto me, I will
recompense, saith the Lord. And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house
of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall
be as though I had not cast them off: for I [am] the LORD their God, and will hear them. But if
the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the
sword come, and take [any] person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his
blood will I require at the watchman’s hand. And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy
all them that afflict my soul: for I [am] thy servant. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he
had been now a long time [in that case], he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? Thou hast
set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter. Hear, O my son, and receive
my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. Let not the swift flee away, nor the mighty
man escape; they shall stumble, and fall toward the north by the river Euphrates. I will open my
mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: Which we have heard and known, and our
fathers have told us. For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from
the work, that it be not done. And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword,
among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be
zealous therefore, and repent. And there was war again: and David went out, and fought with the
Philistines, and slew them with a great slaughter; and they fled from him. And seven priests
bearing seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually, and blew
with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rereward came after the ark of
the LORD, [the priests] going on, and blowing with the trumpets. And [so] the Moabites became
David’s servants, [and] brought gifts. And for the west side [were] hangings of fifty cubits,
their pillars ten, and their sockets ten; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets [of]
silver. Deal bountifully with thy servant, [that] I may live, and keep thy word. [Now] as they
were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the
house round about, [and] beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man,
saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him. And the LORD spake
unto Moses, saying, Take [it] of them, that they may be to do the service of the tabernacle of
the congregation; and thou shalt give them unto the Levites, to every man according to his
service. And they did so, and brought forth those five kings unto him out of the cave, the king
of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, [and] the king of
Eglon. And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to
the work of the apothecary. And he set the sea on the right side of the east end, over against
the south. For David said, The LORD God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, that they may
dwell in Jerusalem for ever: And also unto the Levites; they shall no [more] carry the
tabernacle, nor any vessels of it for the service thereof. But Jesus turning unto them said,
Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. And
except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake
those days shall be shortened. He wrote also letters to rail on the LORD God of Israel, and to
speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of [other] lands have not delivered their
people out of mine hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of mine hand.
This [is] the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I [am], and [there
is] none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one
that passeth by her shall hiss, [and] wag his hand. It is in the power of my hand to do you
hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take thou heed that thou
speak not to Jacob either good or bad. And I said, No, my lord. And he opened his mouth in
blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. Now the word of the LORD
came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry
against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king
of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon. And when Phinehas, the son of
Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw [it], he rose up from among the congregation, and took
a javelin in his hand; And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of
them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. And the children of Dan said
unto him, Let not thy voice be heard among us, lest angry fellows run upon thee, and thou lose
thy life, with the lives of thy household. And he saw that [there was] no man, and wondered that
[there was] no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness,
it sustained him. But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto
him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? Now therefore call unto
me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting: for I
have a great sacrifice [to do] to Baal; whosoever shall be wanting, he shall not live. Thou hast
ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, [for]
the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell [among them]. But after two years Porcius
Festus came into Felix’ room: and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.

father unto the land of Canaan, and told him all that befell unto them; saying, The man, [who
is] the lord of the land, spake roughly to us, and took us for spies of the country. 1Barley

were, every man according to his charge. And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me
not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. And
the vessels also of gold and silver of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took out of the
temple that [was] in Jerusalem, and brought them into the temple of Babylon, those did Cyrus the
king take out of the temple of Babylon, and they were delivered unto [one], whose name [was]
Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor; And said unto him, Take these vessels, go, carry them
into the temple that [is] in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be builded in his place. If ye
had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have
seen him. And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh
southward: And it went out to the south side to Maalehacrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and
ascended up on the south side unto Kadeshbarnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to
Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa: [From thence] it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto
the river of Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south
coast. And Balak said unto Balaam, Did I not earnestly send unto thee to call thee? These [are]
the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun, Dan, Joseph, and

himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto
Hobah, which [is] on the left hand of Damascus. And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel

scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly. For thou [art] great, and doest
wondrous things: thou [art] God alone. Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord:
refresh my bowels in the Lord. And Moses spake unto the LORD, saying, Let the LORD, the God of
the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation, Which may go out before them, and
which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the
congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd. God shall hear, and afflict
them, even he that abideth of old. Who [is] among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the
voice of his servant, that walketh [in] darkness, and hath no light? Behold, I Paul say unto
you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. And if it be meet that I go
also, they shall go with me. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as
[his] eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. Of

said unto you. The word of the LORD also came unto me, saying, Son of man, thou dwellest in the
midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and
hear not: for they [are] a rebellious house. And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and
chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the
king at Jerusalem. But go ye and learn what [that] meaneth, I will have mercy, and not
sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. He slew also the
bullock and the ram [for] a sacrifice of peace offerings, which [was] for the people: and
Aaron’s sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about, And
the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth [the inwards], and the
kidneys, and the caul [above] the liver: And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the
fat upon the altar: And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved [for] a wave offering
before the LORD; as Moses commanded. And what [is] my life, [or] my father’s family in Israel,
that I should be son in law to the king? And it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was
fled. And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to
ask him, Who art thou? And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the
ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. But he went out, and began to publish [it]
much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the
city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter. Woe unto us!
for the day goeth away, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out. And they set the ark

Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart. And to whom is the arm of the LORD
revealed? Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn
away [the punishment] thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime: But I
will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth: and Moab shall die with
tumult, with shouting, [and] with the sound of the trumpet: And I will cut off the judge from
the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith the LORD. And I

eyes? And the south quarter [was] from the end of Kirjathjearim, and the border went out on the
west, and went out to the well of waters of Nephtoah: And the border came down to the end of the
mountain that [lieth] before the valley of the son of Hinnom, [and] which [is] in the valley of
the giants on the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of Jebusi on the
south, and descended to Enrogel, And was drawn from the north, and went forth to Enshemesh, and
went forth toward Geliloth, which [is] over against the going up of Adummim, and descended to
the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben, And passed along toward the side over against Arabah
northward, and went down unto Arabah: And the border passed along to the side of Bethhoglah
northward: and the outgoings of the border were at the north bay of the salt sea at the south
end of Jordan: this [was] the south coast. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will
sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.

the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the
tree of life. Now the rest of the acts of Omri which he did, and his might that he shewed, [are]
they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? And David smote them from
the twilight even unto the evening of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, save
four hundred young men, which rode upon camels, and fled. And there was trembling in the host,
in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and
the earth quaked: so it was a very great trembling. But Hezekiah rendered not again according to
the benefit [done] unto him; for his heart was lifted up: therefore there was wrath upon him,
and upon Judah and Jerusalem. And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, [It is] not in me: God shall

be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the
house of Jeroboam with the sword. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And when
the Pharisees saw [it], they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and
sinners? For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them
out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: But this thing commanded I
them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in
all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. A man shall not be
established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved. Draw me not away
with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but
mischief [is] in their hearts. The children of Harim, three hundred and twenty. And he walked in
the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, as [did] the house of Ahab:

also our money. Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is
broken: for out of the serpent’s root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit [shall be] a
fiery flying serpent. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare
is broken, and we are escaped. And that was counted unto him for righteousness unto all
generations for evermore. And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for [am] I in the place of God?
And if [it be] not [so] now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth? Evil
pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed. Who coverest [thyself] with light
as [with] a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain: Who layeth the beams of his
chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the
wind: Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire: [Who] laid the foundations of
the earth, [that] it should not be removed for ever. And the watchman told, saying, The

abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws [are]
diverse from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it [is] not for the king’s
profit to suffer them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now [are ye] light in the Lord: walk

truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And Kohath begat Amram. The seven good kine
[are] seven years; and the seven good ears [are] seven years: the dream [is] one. But when ye

their much speaking. Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord
GOD. And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder [was] Leah, and the name of the younger

the sun. And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before
[them]. Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou
shalt be no [more] remembered: for I the LORD have spoken [it]. They shall also gird
[themselves] with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame [shall be] upon all faces,
and baldness upon all their heads. And he bowed himself, and said, What [is] thy servant, that
thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I [am]? Behold, as the eyes of servants [look] unto
the hand of their masters, [and] as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our
eyes [wait] upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us. CAPH. The LORD liveth; and
blessed [be] my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation. And Jacob fled into

be called after the order of Aaron? And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The
Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: And they shall kill him, and the third day

salute the children of the king and the children of the queen. If ye be willing and obedient, ye
shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword:
for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it]. And he said, Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel,
who hath with his hands fulfilled [that] which he spake with his mouth to my father David,
saying, Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt I chose no city
among all the tribes of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose
I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel: But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might
be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel. And David sat between the two
gates: and the watchman went up to the roof over the gate unto the wall, and lifted up his eyes,
and looked, and behold a man running alone. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on
the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For without cause
have they hid for me their net [in] a pit, [which] without cause they have digged for my soul.
For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. And they went from Mithcah, and
pitched in Hashmonah. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels
of the ministry. And they tarried until afternoon, and they did eat both of them. Yea, also I
continued in the work of this wall, neither bought we any land: and all my servants [were]
gathered thither unto the work. For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this
ministry. And ye shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of
Israel, into the country [for] the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers. And
as for the people, he removed them to cities from [one] end of the borders of Egypt even to the
[other] end thereof. For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him
not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled
[them] in condemning [him]. For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the
poor. Stand, stand, [shall they cry]; but none shall look back. Yet hast thou not walked after
their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as [if that were] a very little [thing],
thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways. Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well
of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. For he [is] like a refiner’s fire, and
like fullers’ soap: And he shall sit [as] a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify
the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an
offering in righteousness. And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch
his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into
the land of Armenia: and Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead. Thou hast turned for me my
mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end
that [my] glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. All his righteousness that he hath
done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he
hath sinned, in them shall he die. Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase
