ADVISORY COUNCIL SCOOPS Did you miss me in October? I was taking a vacation from retirement..Do you know what its like to come home to a months worth of mail? Im still sorting..Anyway, the Kingstowne Center for Active Adults Advisory Council got along splendidly without me. A SALUTE TO OUR VETERANS PAST AND PRESENT On Saturday, November 5, from 6-10PM, the Advisory Council is hosting our second annual Veterans Day dance. The cost is $10 per person which includes a chili dinner, music with a DJ, and dancing. We have a multitude of great door prizes to give away. Tickets must be purchased in advance from the Center; uniforms and other patriotic attire are encouraged. Membership at the Center is not required; however, you must be 18 or older to attend. Hope to see you there! ATTENTION MOVIE-GOERS Now that winter is approaching and the days are getting shorter, should we continue our monthly Friday pizza and movie nights? We can adjust the time to start the movie earlier; or you can eat while watching the movie. We are willing to continue only if we have sufficient participation from our membership and guests. The August and September movie nights were very successful and appeared to be enjoyed by all. Keep in mind that we cannot rent any movie until it has come out on DVD. It would help us tremendously if you recommend the movies you would like to see. Give us a call on 703-339-7676 or come by for a visit and give us your thoughts. !!!!Remember to set your clocks back one hour on Nov 6!!!! Its that time of year again!
