This movie series entitled “Money, Explained” purposes are to both entertain and also educate the

viewers about the different kind of scams with deep explanation of analysis.

Episode 1: Episode 1 – Get Rich Quick

Marketing, networking, and entrepreneurship are what frequently we see in social media in terms
of how to get money easily. Just like what was said in the movie, “financial scams have been making
people millionaires”. In this episode, I’ve learned a lot about the different types of illegal schemes, frauds,
and scams. They will offer you things that are too good to be true. Sites that tell you, you have to pay
money to get free money and congratulate you for winning money but you must pay the taxes first to claim the
price are scams.
The first kind of scheme is the ‘Pump and Dump’ it is an illegal scheme, usually, it is chronic in the
world of cryptocurrency, where the fraudsters will spread a trumped-up story about something, they will
'pump' the coin and then suddenly they will 'dump' those shares of the stock by trading their stocks at the
inflated price. In other words, they boost stocks based on exaggerated statements that aren't real. They are
manipulating crypto prices. The next kind of scheme is what they called the 'Pyramid Scheme'. It is
commonly a type of investment. They will recruit participants to bring in money and recruit two further
participants. You pay some money now in exchange for a lot of money later. Just like a pyramid, there will
be one on the top, he/she hold the money, and when that one on the top is gone, their investment will go
and that person is nowhere to be found. And the other one is the Ponzi scheme; it is just like a pyramid
scheme but here the money is revolving, it is an investment scam that takes money from later investors and
gives profits to earlier investors. And when the earlier investors take all the money, the later investors will
suffer. The coaching scheme is the fourth one, here you pay money for knowledge that they promise will
make you money. They are offering you programs that don’t even exist.
We should be more aware of what we are clicking on the internet because most of those links can
simply get all your information. We must be mindful of using social media because not all we see on those
platforms are true and relevant. Remember that there is no easy way to make money with just one swipe or
click. We must think before we click, and we should be aware in terms of those sites. You should research that
website first or the safest way to do is to ignore that.
