Core Output 1: DAILY LESSON PLAN (DLP)
Focus: Oral Language Development

Prepare:
● This is a group work assignment. You can collaborate with two co-participants from the same
grade level to come up with a relevant and creative DLP.
● This DLP is intended to be used for the 1st quarter of School Year 2022-23.

● Select an existing DLP for 1 dayyou may have for MTB, Filipino, or English. This may be what
you have created and used this school year or a ready-made DLP issued by the division or
region.

Create:
● The goal is to enhance an existing DLP and apply learnings from the training. There is NO need
to create a new DLP.
● Add an activity for any part of the “IV. Procedure” section of the DLP that focuses on oral
language and uses the strategies of Language Experience Approach and 5Ws+H questioning.

In the Philippines the Carabao is greatly respected,


sometimes they can become like members of the family.
In the province of Bulacan, every year on the 14th of
May they celebrate the Carabao Festival.
Carabaos or Water buffalos are to be found in the
whole of South East Asia, they are not as typical of the
Philippines as the Jeepers are. But they do belong to the

basic inventory of the Philippines and in 1993 they also
represented the country on a series of stamps.

In Bicol, there is mostly an offer of pili-nuts by street


vendors or in special shops. There are more than fifteen
merchants for instance in and around Legaspi City.
Perhaps you are first a little bit skeptical.
The pili nut is little known in Europe. Reason
enough, to have a closer look at this fruit, which is in a
strong biological sense no nut but a stone-fruit.
The teacher will prepare strips of paper containing the
summary of the text.
Let the pupils use the strips to summarize the selection
using these clues.
