The Board may adopt its own internal
procedures on the implementation of this
provision.

SEAL
The Board shall prescribe the design, size, and
contents of the dry seal to be used in signing
and sealing of architectural plans, drawings,
specifications, contract documents and
architectural permit prepared by or under his/her
direct supervision.

SEAL DESIGN

The Board in the written statement shall state
the period for the deferment of the
registration if the offense or act committed
does not call for indefinite period and/or
perpetual deprivation of the chance to
register.

The rules on administrative investigation
issued by the Commission shall govern the
hearing or investigation of the case, subject to
applicable provisions of R.A. No. 9266, R.A. No.
8981, and the Rules of Court.

The Board shall issue a Resolution, subject to
approval by the Commission, in granting a
petition for reinstatement to the practice of
architecture.

RULE IV
PRACTICE OF
ARCHITECTURE
(SUNDRY PROVISIONS)
SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS FOR THE FOREIGN
APPLICANTS OF THE LICENSURE EXAM:

Original or authenticated copy of transcript of
records or equivalent document of the course for
licensure examination issued by the institution of
higher learning where he studied, duly authorized
or accredited by his country/state; and
Other documents which may be required to be
submitted by the Board

programs shall be maintained through an
overall CPD program for architects developed
by UAP
programs shall be formulated by the
Continuing Professional Education (CPE)
Council for Architects based on the existing
guidelines of PRC with levels of compliance and
proficiency evaluation as a rating factor.
Accreditation of CPD/CPE providers by the
Board of Architecture shall be based on the
said guidelines.

Government and private employees who are
not RLA shall not perform architectural works
w/o the direct supervision of an Architect
penalized in accordance with Sec. 29 of RA
9266

Penalties for the violation of Sec. 7 - sub-
paragraph (L) of RA 8981 by the Heads of
Government Agencies or Officers of Private
entities/institutions
IMPRISONMENT: not less 6 mons and 1 day
but not more than 6 yrs
FINE: not less than Php 50,000 but not more

(L) OF RA 8981
(l) To supervise foreign nations who are
authorized by existing laws to practice their
professions either as holders of a certificate of
registration and a professional identification card
or a temporary special permit in the Philippines;
to ensue that the terms and conditions for their
practice or of their employment are strictly
complied with;

to file upon due process request for
deportation with the Bureau of Immigration
and Deportation (BID); and to supervise
professionals who were former citizens of the
Philippines and who had been registered and
issued a certificate of registration and a
professional identification card prior to their
naturalization as foreign citizens, who may,
while in the country on a visit, sojourn or
permanent residence, practice their profession:

to require the hiring or employing government
agency or private entity/institution to secure a
temporary special permit from the concerned
Board subject to approval by the PRC and to
file a criminal complaint against the head of
the government agency or officers of the said
private entity/institution, who shall be liable
under the penalty provided for in the
concerned professional regulatory law or the
penalty imposed pursuant to this Act, when the
professional was hired and allowed to practice
his/her profession without permit;

Provided, That, prior to the practice of their
profession they shall have first been issued a
special permit and updated professional
identification card by the Board concerned
subject to approval by the Commission and
upon payment of the permit and annual
registration fees;

In the absence of a bilateral agreement, the
foreign national shall submit documentary
proof or evidence allowing Filipino architects
to practice the profession in their home
country without any limitation.

PROCEDURE:
Advertisements and billboards for
marketing/promotion purposes shall
prominently display the name of the
architect-of-record. Failure to comply shall be
subject to penalties in accordance with the
rules promulgated by PRC.

PROCEDURE:
Upon issuance of the temporary/special
permit, the foreign national may become
member of the United Architects of the
