1. PROGRAMMING THE "SET UP" MEMORY OF "MIKSTER MCC 050 FUTURE"

CONTROLLER

The "SETUP" memory is used to store constant parameters necessary for proper operation
of the controller. In order to switch to the "SET UP" programming mode, press the buttons listed
below in correct sequence:

- PRESS AND HOLD THE KEY;

- PRESS AND HOLD THE KEY;

- RELEASE THE KEY;

- RELEASE THE KEY.

Word CODE and symbol 000 000 will be displayed.

At this moment, using the keys,

enter the code permitting to get into the "SET UP" memory programming / modifying mode
( by default 011 011 ).
As a result of correctly entered code, word SET UP, function number and its value will be
displayed. In case if wrong code is entered, the unit will switch to the stand-by mode
(STOP will be displayed).
In order to modify values of individual "SET UP" functions

keep pressing the and keys.

In order to switch to the next functions use the key (FORWARDS),

or the key (BACKWARDS).

Press the key to quit programming.

1.1 ENTERING TYPICAL VALUES

- PRESS AND HOLD THE KEY;

- PRESS AND HOLD THE KEY;

- RELEASE THE KEY;

- RELEASE THE KEY.

1.2 DEFINING THE "BAR” CONDITION

For some program steps, the MIKSTER MCC 050 FUTURE Microprocessor Controller allows
defining, whether the bar condition is met for:
Read out Temp. (bar) > Preset Temp (bar)
or
Read Out Temp. (bar) < Preset Temp. (bar)
In order to define method of the bar condition interpretation do the following: ( while
remaining
in the SET-UP mode )

By pressing the or keys

switch to the SET-UP F50 function;
then set appropriate parameters, using the keys specified below:

- the bar condition definition for step 0

diode off: the bar condition reached if
Read Out Temp. (bat) > Preset Temp. (bat)
(application at heating)
diode on: the bar condition reached if
Read Out Temp. (bat) < Preset Temp. (bat)
(application at cooling)

2. TEMPERATURE SENSOR CALIBRATION

The following procedure permits to calibrate temperature sensors:

- PRESS AND HOLD THE KEY;

- PRESS AND HOLD THE KEY;

- RELEASE THE KEY;

- RELEASE THE KEY.

Switch to next controller tests by pressing the key.

If digit ”0” is displayed in the field ”Display Step”, it means that the controller is ready to
calibrate the temperature sensor.
First put the sensor in previously prepared ice and water solution, or set resistance value of
100 Ω from the calibrator.

After presetting temperature value at 00C press the key.

Then, by pressing the key, you may switch to calibration of another sensor.
The calibration is carried out analogically as for the first sensor.

When calibration is complete, press the key, as a result parameters will be

saved in the controller memory.
Temperature sensor calibration for 1000C is carried out through adjustment of
potentiometers located in the back of the controller.
Put the sensor in boiling water (or set resistance value of 138.5Ω from the calibrator) and
adjust potentiometer until value of 100 will be displayed on corresponding with it channel.

SYMBOL DEFINITIONS:

Hg – Temperature controller upper hysteresis ( F26 SETUP )

Hd – Temperature controller lower hysteresis ( F25 SETUP )

Zd – Range of operation for the "lifting" algorithm ( F23 SETUP )

Tz – Preset temperature of the controller

ON – Controller output on

OFF – Controller output off

Tz inst – "Instantaneous" preset temperature – temperature control is carried out in relation to this
value.

ANNEX for SERVICE

EXPLANATION OF PRINCIPLES

Tod – read out temperature ( instantaneous )

Rout – temperature controller output
Case 1
If Tod<Zd then Rout=ON
Case 2

IF Tod>=Zd and Tod<(Tz-Hd) then the preset temperature "lifting" algorithm is executed, the
algorithm is based on the fact that the controller output (Rout=OFF) is switched off at the moment the
value of instantaneous preset temperature (Tz inst) is exceeded. The output will be switched on again
(Rout=ON) when temperature drop is confirmed; simultaneously new value of instantaneous preset
temperature Tz inst=(Tz-Tod)/2 will be established. In case of establishing preset temperature value
Tz inst>=(Tz-Hd) then Tz inst=Tz.

Case 3
If (Tz+Hg)>=Tod>(Tz-Hd) then the controller output (Rout=OFF) is switched off when temperature
increase is observed. The output will be switched on (Rout=ON) when temperature drop is confirmed
(Rout state change is delayed by time value determined in the F24).

Case 4
If Tod>(Tz+Hg) then the controller output is off (Rout=OFF).
