The work of “Extension of 1no New 110KV EHT Service at Pelakuppam Village for a maximum
demand of 10500KVA to M/s Cheyyar SEZ Developers, Near Plot No:A1, Sipcot Industrial Park,
Pelakuppam Village, Tindivanam, Villupuram District” was administratively approved and technically
sanctioned vide reference (2) and (3).
Based on that M/s.Cheyyar SEZ Developers, have paid the amount of Rs.4,31,65,980/- on
21.08.2023 vide Doc.No.2350850561.
M/s.Cheyyar SEZ Developers, has submitted the switchyard layout, equipments and panels
drawings for scrutiny. The remarks for the C & R panel drawings was received from P&C wing and the
same is herewith forwarded.
1. The drawings are generally found in order.
2. Any modification as stated by field TANTRANSCO engineers during commissioning shall be
incorporated,
3. The equipments shall be fixed 20CMs above the gland plate,
4. Any wire to Trip circuit may be identified with Red color sleeve.
5. Mixing of DC -1 and DC – 2 circuits should be avoided and the system has to be designed
accordingly.
6. Lugs for CRP wiring should be of suitable size Ring Type.
7. 3 sets of A3 Size as manufacture drawings of CRP should be provided along with the panel.
8. All the CT/PT TB should be of disconnecting type.
9. Contactors and contact multiplication relays should be industrial grade suitable for substation
environment application and of reputed manufacturers only and type tested.
10. Most of the auxiliary relay, Trip relays are ABB Make which require special ABB Make Crimping
tool, ABB Make extractor for wire removal. Hence one number ABB Make Crimping tool, 1 No
extractor and sufficient lugs to be supplied along with Panel.
11. All the Manual related to Main relay, Backup relay, BCU, Aux relay, EM and Switches etc to be
supplied along with the panel- 3 Sets Hard copy+ 1 set Soft copy
12. For download/upload the setting, Disturbance Recorder, Event list, RS 232 to USB
Communication cable is required for P442 Line Distance relay. Hence 1 No MOXA make RS232
to USB Converter shall be supplied along with the panel.
13. 1 No of RXMVB-2 and 1 No RXPSU-14n ABB Make relay with sufficient NO/NC shall be
supplied as spare along with the panel.
14. Tri Vector meter to be configured for CT Ratio and VT Ratio.
15. Construction:
a. Paint thickness min 70 microns.
b. Door Hinges shall be minimum 3 Nos.
c. All cable entries should be through cable glands hermitically sealed and rodent proof.
d. TB wise wiring schedule should be included in drawing.
e.The colour of the panel shall be following choice for new station.
Exterior - stoved enamel grey
Interior - stoved enamel white
Bus frame - stoved enamel black
Finish - glossy surface treatment shall be done as per BIS.
f. Labels to be provided at front and rear of the panel for each device.
g. Name plate to be provided on the top of each panel on front, large and bold name plates
shall be provided for circuit / feeder designation
h. Name plate and labels shall be made of non rusting metal or 3 ply lamicoid.
i. Wire termination shall be made with solder less crimping type and tinned copper lugs,
which firmly grip the conductor. Insulated sleeves shall be provided at the wire
terminations.

j. Interconnection to adjacent panels shall be brought to a separate set of terminal blocks


located near to the slots or holes to be provided at the top of the panel. Arrangements
shall be made for easy connections to adjacent panels at site and wires for this purpose
shall be provided and bunched inside the panel.
k. At least 20% of total terminal shall be provided as spare for further connections and these
spare terminals shall be uniformly distributed on all terminal blocks.
l. The size of the earth bus shall be made of 25mmx6mm tinned copper flat.
m. All metal case of the relays, instruments and other panel mounted devices shall be
connected to the earth bus by independent copper wires of size not less than 2.5 sq.mm.
The colour code of the earthing wire shall be green.
n. Electronic tri-vector meters shall be with facility for separate registering of KWH, KVAH and
KVARH consumption and also to record export/import and demands and their input
quantities. The accuracy of the meter shall be 0.2s, ABT meter, DLMS Compliant (Category
B), Equipped with optical RS 232 port for CMI Download, RS 485 port with equipped with
open protocol (MODEBUS) and DLMS protocol with protocol user selectable among DLMS
and Open protocol (MODBUS).
