Statement of Purpose

I, Avleen Kaur, holding passport number T5081093. My date of birth is 07/09/2001. I have
completed my secondary school examination from Punjab School Education Board in 2018 with
85.07% and my senior secondary (Medical stream) with 73.5% in 2020 from Central Board of
Secondary Education. I have completed my Diploma in Physiotherapy with first division from
Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur in 2022. I gave my IELTS exam on 23/04/2022 and
scored overall 6.5 not less than 6.0. I am applying for Bachelor of Biomedical Science at The
University of NewCastle. Though, India is enriched with top universities that provide quality
education but there are many detectable flaws in Indian education system that has stopped me to
study in India. But the most ideal destination for studying Bachelor of Biomedical Science is
Australia. The New Castle University is ranked in top 200 Universities in the world, top 8 in Australia
for research 'well above world standard' and 30th in the world for impact. Bachelor of Biomedical
Science focuses on the basic knowledge of the structure and function of the human body. In this
course, I will be studying about the anatomy, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Neuroscience, Phsiology,
Medical biochemistry, Genetics and immunology, Cell and molecular biology and many more things.
After completing my course, I will be returning back to my home country, India. There, I can work as
Healthcare technician, Laboratory medical scientist, medical researcher, etc. I can work with
forensics, armed forces or private pathology laboratories, academic departments at universities and
colleges, research laboratories in private sector hospitals, etc. My long term plan is to become a
biomedical researcher in India. The average salary for a Medical Scientist is ₹988,562 per year. As
India is a developing country and its health system is not that strong, it requires more biomedical
researchers. Though, I will miss my family for a short period of time while I will be in Australia but I
will be back after completing my studies from Australia. As I have the responsibility of my family and
my home country. I have to take care of all the assets that my family have. In short I would be living
my dreams with my family in India after completing my desired course.

Thank you

Avleen Kaur
