The vane motor uses pressurized oil to power the rotation of an eccentric rotor housing radial vanes. As the oil enters through the inlet, it impinges on the vanes and pushes them outward, causing the rotor to rotate within the casing. This transfer of pressure force to vane displacement to shaft rotation allows the motor to operate quietly with medium power output suitable for servo drives.

A permanent casing with inlet and outlet for the oil, is fitted with replaceable lining. The rotor with vane housing stays eccentric with the casing axis. The radial vanes that are located in the slots in the vane housing can move radially inward and outward, by the contact with the casing. The pressurized oil supplied through inlet impinges on the vanes. The peripheral displacement of the vanes transfer the movement to the rotor producing rotational work. The transformation sequence here also is pressure force to displacement of vanes to rotation of shaft. FIG : VANE MOTOR Features • Medium power output capacity. • Quiet in operation. • Low degree of irregularity. • Specially suitable for servo drives. Application and Selection Parameters • It is used in both constant and variable speed applications. • Volume displacement range = (5-2000 cc). • Rotational speed = (0-3000 rpm). • Working pressure range = (10-200 bar)
