long been used in Philippine traditional medicine. It’s leaves extract can be used as
first aid especially to wounds.
Due to the development of technology, some herbal medicine also upgraded. It can
be spray, it can be some type of capsule or solution that today’s generation also
adapt.
Living the 21st century gives us many hooks and challenges. The demand of people
along medicine also increases especially when Covid-19 infected all nations. But this
pandemic reminds people to treat with herbal medicine due to lack of medicinal
supply.
Pansit-pansitan herbal medicine can be found anywhere. It can cure not only
external part but along with internal body issues.

In todays generation where our bodies are subjected to countless battles,


large or small, unexpected accident trouble and problems. Wounds are
unavoidable companions on our journey that’s why “Peperomia Ointment”
is here. It is a soothing balm that has the color of green, smells of mint, a
thicker consistency and has the kick of spice in every touch.
Peperomia ointment is not just an ordinary medicine that heals wounds, but
it can also be used for unwanted headaches. This product has the benefits of
infection prevention, reduced scarring, pain reliefs moisture regulation, and
tenderly handle wounds and accelerates the healing process.

This research was about knowing the possibility of Ulasimang Bato/Pansit-


Pansitan in making ointment. This product is intended for 2 years old and
above to determine how Peperomia Ointment is effective. This ointment
contains moisturizing agents that helps hydrate and soothe the skin of the
users, especially to our target populations.

III. Technical Plan


The Product and it’s Specifications
Peperomia pellucida, localy known as ulasimang bato or pansitp-pansitan. It
is a small plant with a shaped of heart and translucent leaves. This plant has
long been used in Philippine traditional medicine for its analgesic, anti-
inflammatory and anti-hyperuricemic properties. It is a medicinal plant used
to manage inflammatory illnesses such as conjunctivitis and gastro intestinal
and respiratory tract disoerders in tropical and subtropical regions.
A study about the antibacterial activity of pansit-pansitan against three
gram-negative bacterial isolates showed that the plant indeed has
antibacterial properties.

Directions:

 Wash first the affected areas and pat dry. Then apply desired
amount of the product. Repeat 2 to 3 times a day or as needed.
 For cuts, scrapes and chopped skin, first cleanse the area with
mild soap, rinse and dry. Then apply a thin layer or amount of the
product. Repeat 2 to 3 times a day or as needed.
Production Process
Prepare all the needed ingredients. Separate the pansit-pansitan leaves from
its stem. Rinse the leaves for five minutes, make sure to wash it thoroughly
to remove its dust and insects. Let it drain for 2 to 3 minutes. Make sure to
drain it well to remove its excess water. After draining, heat the coconut oil
to its lowest heating level and fry the leaves. Continue stirring until its
golden brown leaves appeared. Remove from the fire and extract the fried
leaves to collect the coconut oil. Allow the coconut oil to boil again to its
lowest heating level and gently mix the beeswax.
Finally, pour the solution to its molder, let it rest, and allow it to cool.
It is now ready for its packaging.
