Project Manager

Responsibilities
1 Responsible for the successful delivery of technical projects.
2 Must possess a strong technical background.
3 Clearly articulate project requirements, collaborate with other teams,
provide detailed explanations, and coordinate effectively.
4 Collaborate with internal IT Engineering teams to design IT solutions that
meet business requirements.
5 Coordinate with external partners and vendors, facilitating communication
with internal teams and external users.
6 Identify required resources, budget, and establish project delivery
schedules.
7 Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, reporting as needed.
8 Review and liaise with product owners or vendors on Statements of Work
(SOWs).
9 Form project teams, manage and monitor projects from kick-off to closure.
10 Provide regular reports and project updates to management and project
stakeholders, managing their expectations effectively.
11 Drive technical discussions and guide the team to ensure successful
implementation.
12 Provide effective leadership, foster team cohesion, and encourage
teamwork.
13 Plan, coordinate, and prepare implementation strategies to achieve key
project milestones.
14 Develop Project Management Plans, including risk management, to ensure
effective project management and delivery.
15 Ensure that all projects and products meet required quality standards
through testing and technical governance.
16 Manage vendors, including procurement and contract management, to align
with customer obligations and mitigate gaps.
17 Initiate, organize, and attend project meetings to keep teams informed and
on track.
18 Keep up-to-date with relevant technological developments to improve
effectiveness.
19 Quickly grasp and understand business domain knowledge.
20 Manage multiple product/solution procurements, overseeing the entire
procurement lifecycle.
21 Determine project goals to ensure alignment with business objectives and
strategies.
22 Develop detailed project plans, including requirements, scope, deliverables,
budget, and schedules.
23 Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to facilitate timely project
awards.
24 Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Requirements
1 Degree/ Diploma in Project Management/ Computer Science / Computer
Engineering in Information Technology, Information Systems, IT Security
or equivalent
2 At least 7 years of experience in IT Project Management of medium or
large-scale projects with good technical knowledge
3 Track records of managing successful delivery and implementation /
maintenance of IT applications/products of equivalent value and nature

4 Demonstrated experience in successfully managing IT projects and


deploying management systems.

5 Experience in project delivery and technical management of complex


system landscapes.
6 Preferably certified in Project Management (PMP or CITPM) or equivalent.
7 Effective leadership abilities to oversee cross-functional teams and off-
shore vendor teams.
8 Customer-oriented with the ability to motivate and lead teams towards
common objectives.
9 Versatile and able to adapt to changing conditions, with a proactive attitude
to anticipate and resolve challenges.
10 Strong written and oral communication and negotiation skills.
11 Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and vendor management skills.

12 Excellent working attitude, problem-solving, critical thinking, strong


analytical and interpersonal skills.

13 Excellent time management skills and the ability to adjust priorities


according to project activities.

14 Solid organization skills, including attention to detail and multitasking.

15 Goal-driven with a strong initiative to meet deadlines, work effectively


under pressure, and tight schedule with positive and proactive attitude to
anticipate challenges and resolves issues.
16 Familiarity with project management reporting tools, such as Microsoft
Project.
17 Operational and/or management knowledge in technical domains, such as
System, Network, Security, and Cloud operations.

18 Ability to understand necessary legal and contract terms to facilitate


negotiations.
19 Knowledge of procurement and governance processes (an added
advantage).
