Entrepreneur is a person who is able and willing to engage in commerce or business for profit in spite of the
risks. He/she must able to balance the different roles he/she takes on to perform his/her duties well.
PEC refer to the list of attributes of successful entrepreneur. These attributes maybe referred to by different
names, but what is essential are the concrete actions the represent them.
The questionnaire provided by the DepEd can give you an idea how close your attributes are with that of
successful practitioner.

CARRY IT OUT
1. Recall an instance in your life where you rendered services or sold something where you gain monetary
rewards. Describe briefly the experience.
 When I had some toys that I no longer used and were in good condition, I decided to sell them and use the
money to buy a new toy that would be more appropriate for my age. I set up a table outside my house in the
neighborhood and sold my toys at a fair price. Many of my neighbors bought them, and I shared with them the
story behind the toys. This experience taught me important lessons about pricing, customer service, and the joy
of repurposing unwanted items.

2. Name other roles of an entrepreneur that you think is crucial to the success of the business.
 To be a successful entrepreneur, it's not enough to take risks. They also need to possess a range of skills, such as
being able to look ahead and anticipate future trends and opportunities, solve complex problems that arise
during business operations, make good decisions based on data and intuition, inspire and motivate employees,
build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners, and effectively promote and sell products or
services to their target audience. All of these roles are essential for a business to succeed.

3. Name three (3) challenges that a young entrepreneur faces today.

 Young entrepreneurs face challenges today, including needing more experience and networks. This means they
may need to gain the required skills, knowledge, or connections to establish and expand a successful business.
Additionally, access to funding can be another significant challenge for them as they may find it challenging to
obtain investments or financial support due to insufficient credit history or collateral. Lastly, competition is
another crucial challenge. Many existing players dominate the market, making it hard for new businesses to
secure a place and distinguish themselves from competitors.
