Step 1: Reading comprehension exercise.

a. What is the main idea of the text?


RTA How to get a driver’s license, who can get it and the requirements for it.
b. What is the driving program's purpose when it demands to
pass the written test and the driving test?
RTA To evaluate the knowledge about traffic signs, basic mechanics, first aid,
skills, and hand-eye coordination.

c. Considering the requirements to have a driver’s license in


the USA, do you think we could apply the same
requirements in Colombia? Explain.
RTA We can apply the same requirements and we are already doing it, when I
got my driver’s license, I had to do a written and driving test, of course,
immigrants should have good Spanish to understand the signs and to
understand the insults so he/she can reply haha.

d. Write four obligations people must do to obtain a license of


residence in the United States.
RTA
You must be 15 + years old
You must have ID/Passport
People must have a good English level
People must pass the written and driving test.
People must have 200 Dollars

Step 2: Writing obligations and necessities.

My name is Jorge Orozco, I’ve been working for Cisco since beginning of 2021, I’m currently
studying telecommunications engineering. I feel awesome at my current job, I get all the
support I need and the opportunities to grow professionally and as a person.
My current position is Team Leader of 9 people, my obligations are:

+ I must review code fixes and debugs.


+ I have to break problems down in customer environments to solve them.
+ I must back my team members up when they have doubts or don’t know how to do certain
things.
+ I must deal with escalations and make sure they count on me.
+ Sometimes, I have to update the product documentation when I or any team member comes
across an inconsistency.
+ I must do team meeting every week to brainstorm over difficult problems and bring up any
new feature updates or changes in the general procedures.
+ I don’t have to work extra hours.
+ I must not work on weekends due to legal constraints.
+ I don’t have to go to the office regularly.
+ I must keep myself updated with new technology trends and cybersecurity menaces.

Necessities:
+ I must connect my team with people from around the world.
+ I have train team members in soft skills.
+ I must keep everyone on the same page to move forward as a team
+ I have to listen to them more to improve.
+ I must go often to the office so they fell supported
+ I have to create more team building events
+ I must create a more cooperative spirit

Activities:
+ I created some sporting events to engage people in a different field
+ Going for coffee to listen to their struggles
+ Buy lunch once every 2 months

In conclusion, all the things I have to perform in this job are making me a better professional
and are helping me grow as a leader and as an engineer. The Cybersecurity area requires a lot of
reading and to be aware of any changes so acquiring the discipline to do so is very important to
keep up.
