NOTE: As per EASA IR 21, a minor change is one that has no appreciable effect on the
mass, balance, structural strength, reliability, operational characteristics affecting the
airworthiness of the product. All other changes are major changes.

REASON/DESCRIPTION/OPERATIONAL CONSEQUENCES

New Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) software has been developed and is now available
and can be installed on CIDS director.

NOTE: The Smoke Detection Function (SDF) improvements are already included in CIDS/SDF
SW Z063H000059A.

This Service Bulletin is published to advise all operators of A330 aircraft of the issue of AIRBUS Cabin
Electronics Service Bulletin No. Z063H-23-023.

The Vendor Service Bulletin (VSB) Z063H-23-023 describes the software update of the On Board
Replaceable Module (OBRM).

After the accomplishment of this Service Bulletin the following main improvements will be available:

- introduction of a second Multi Purpose Flight Attendant Panel (MPFAP) user Graphical User
Interface (GUI) (A350 style)

- signature check of OBRM data load

- update of the Smoke Detection Function (SDF) Cabin Assignment Module (CAM) load mechanism

- improvement of smoke warning report

- trouble shooting data for Fire Extinguishing Data Converter (FEDC)

New Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) software has been developed and
is now available and can be installed on CIDS director.

NOTE: The Smoke Detection Function (SDF) improvements are already included

(2) Objective/Action

This Service Bulletin is published to advise all operators of A330 aircraft of the issue of
AIRBUS Cabin Electronics Service Bulletin No. Z063H-23-023.

The Vendor Service Bulletin (VSB) Z063H-23-023 describes the software update of the
On Board Replaceable Module (OBRM).

INCLUDED IN THE REFERENCED PROCEDURES.

ELECTRICAL WIRING IN A SATISFACTORY CONDITION (ELECTRICALLY
AND MECHANICALLY SERVICEABLE). WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE

AND MECHANICALLY SERVICEABLE). WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE
WORK, REPAIRS OR MODIFICATIONS, ALWAYS KEEP ELECTRICAL WIRING,
COMPONENTS AND THE WORK AREA AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE. TO DO

(c) Do the System Test of the Smoke Detection System for Pressurized Areas
through the Multipurpose Control and Display Unit (MCDU), refer to AMM Task
26-10-00-740-801.

(d) Do the Passenger Address (PA) from each handset by pushing PPT, check the
PA distribution in the cabin and the correct location indication on the Attendant
Indication Panel (AIP).

(e) Do one dedicated PA and check the cabin distribution via all loudspeakers.

(f) Do a PA from one handset to each Crew Rest by selecting just the Crew Rest and
check the distribution in the Crew Rest.

(g) Do a check for all Fasten Seat Belt (FSB) signs and Return To Seat (RTS) signs by
switching ON and OFF.
