Amendments to the “Technical Guidelines on Minor Works Control System”


(Technical Guidelines)

Further to the promulgation of “Amendments to the Technical Guidelines


(March 2021)”, I would announce that the following amendments have been made:

(a) Paragraphs 3.3.1 and 3.24.1 to include relevant requirements of Practice


Notes for Authorized Persons, Registered Structural Engineers and
Registered Geotechnical Engineers (PNAP) APP-164 on above-ground
drainage system; and

(b) Paragraphs 3.3.2 and 3.15.2 to refer to section 2.4 of the Code of Practice
for Foundations 2017 on laying drainage and construction of fence wall on
newly reclaimed land.

2. The amendments in the Appendix have been uploaded to Buildings Department


website www.bd.gov.hk under the “Codes, design manuals and guidelines” page of the
“Resources” section. The 2021 edition of the Technical Guidelines is under preparation and
will be issued in due course.
