Facebook Listing Tips

😉
Facebook is an absolute classic and will never fail you as long as you follow their
guidelines . On a serious note the reason FBM (FaceBook Marketplace) is so good is
because of groups and how they push your items out with SEO.

Firstly here are some of my current FBM insights from the past 30 days so you know
what I’m saying isn't just talk but actual proper advice. During this period I’ve been
selling Airpod Pros 2nd Gen, Prada Glasses and PitVipers.

Step 1 - Profile Setup

Now the first thing you want to do when setting up your own FaceBook is have a name
to go under, it can be literally anything but make it believable, for example if you're black
don't use a name like John and if you're white don't use a name like Travon. Simple as
that and for your profile photo you can put literally anything mine is some random guy
riding a mountain bike over a jump.

The next thing you need to do is start listing up random items that you can find around
your house so your account looks somewhat legit after you’ve done this. Start joining
and applying to join groups around your area that allow you to sell items then you can
start listing your products up.

Step 2 - Listing Products Correctly

🤫
Now after you have a somewhat legitimate looking account and you’ve joined some
groups, you need to start listing up your REAL products . I’m going to use a random
Prada listing that isn’t doing well and then compare it to my listing that has done pretty
well.

Below is the example of a bad listing 👇

I’ve highlighted and listed each one with a red number spanning through 1-4.

1st point

The first highlighted section shows the amount of images and the type. Having 3 photos
is not enough no matter the product. I say 5 is the absolute minimum and 10 is the
maximum.

The seller also had the cover photo as a picture of him holding the glasses in hand, this
is a red flag. You want the cover photo to showcase 80-100% of what's included with
the product. Here’s an example of AirPods.

The photo showcases the box, manual and airpods itself. This would be a great cover
photo and grab the eyes of interested buyers. Also notice how there isn’t anything else
going on? It’s just a photo of the product on a table, this is so the viewer doesn’t get
distracted by some random ass shit in your room or on your kitchen countertop.

2nd point

The 2nd point is of course the title. Now if you’ve spoken to me before you know I urge
people to not use the “**BEST OFFER**” technique because 90% of the marketplace is
using it. Instead a better title would be - “Prada Milano Designer Women Sunglasses”
or something along the lines but remember the more text related to the product helps
you rank higher in the search engine.

3rd point

Never have your price on $0 because Facebook will only push your listing locally and
our aim is to get the most amount of eyeballs on our listing so it gets pushed further and
further to more potential buyers.

Now I’ll give you a little tip when you first post your listing with a high price and then edit
it 5 minutes later and lower it. For example take a look at my cologne listing so you get
a small idea of what I’m saying.

This is a simple trick to convince your buyers they are getting a “discount” but
realistically they’re not and you’re still making your intended amount.

But in conclusion you need to have a price set so people know what you’re looking for
instead of getting offers for $10 on a pair of airpods.

4th point

Now the final point, the seller's profile. He has no profile picture which lowers trust

💀💀
between the buyer and seller as well as the worst fake name I have ever possibly seen
“Micheal Justin” . Don’t be an idiot just make a fake name or use fakenamegen.

My Listing

Now here is my listing below 🔽

As you can see I meet all the following points. I have 5 photos of the product all high
quality and it showcases everything involved. A good title telling the buyers what they’ll
be getting. A price attached to the listing so buyers have an amount I’m looking for. The
option for door meet up or public meetup (P.S. ALWAYS SELL OUTSIDE YOUR
HOUSE). A good description explaining why I’m selling, pickup location and free
shipping announcement. A good seller profile (I blocked this out so I can stay private). I
also have the Brand tag filled out to ensure more people see the post.

This listing allowed me to sell 13 pairs for around $1000-$1200 in revenue.
