 What is Chess 960?
Chess960, also known as Fischer Random Chess, is a fascinating variant of the
traditional game of chess. It was invented by the former world chess champion,
Bobby Fischer. Here are the key points about Chess960:
Randomized Starting Position: In Chess960, the starting position of each piece in
the home rank is randomized. This means that the arrangement of the pieces is
different in every game. However, both sides still have symmetrical positions,
ensuring fairness.
Variety and Creativity: The beauty of Chess960 lies in its unpredictability. With
960 possible starting positions, players must adapt their strategies and tactics to
the specific arrangement of the pieces. This adds an exciting element of surprise
and creativity to the game.

Chess 960 a day before the tournament.

Tournament Rules:
The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE
Swiss System with 6 rounds.
Each round will have different position. Position will be revealed once
participants have settled down on their respective boards.
In case of any dispute, the decision of the organizer shall be final and
binding on all players concerned.
Organizers reserve the right to accept or reject entries without assigning
any reason
Last date of registration is 21st March 2024.
