What is It

Visual Elements help readers see what they read. This includes the
following:

a. Pictures- are visual representations of a person, object, or scene, as a

painting, drawing, photograph, etc.
b. Drawings- the art or technique of representing an object or outlining a
figure, plan, or sketch by means of lines
c. Comics/Cartoons- are simple drawings showing the features of its
subjects in a humorously exaggerated way, especially a satirical one
in a newspaper or magazine.
d. Diagrams- are simplified drawings showing the appearance, structure,
or workings of something; a schematic representation.

Multimedia Elements combine more than one type of media typically in

digital form, such as on computers, audio players, tablets, smartphones,

sometimes even other senses to experience what they are reading. Examples
of multimedia include:

a. Video- a recording of moving visual images made digitally or on

videotape.
b. Audio recording/Sound effects- a recording of acoustic signals.
c. Interactive Images- are online services that give you the ability to
make your online images interactive. Simply create an account upload
