1.0 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I would like to express my deepest appreciation to all those who provided me the possibility to
complete this report. A special gratitude I give to my lecturer, Pn Nur Zuhairah, whose
contribution in stimulating suggestions and encouragement,helped me to coordinate my project
especially in writing this report.

Furthermore I would also like to acknowledge with much appreciation to my family that support
me and who gave the permission to use all required equipment and the necessary material to
complete the task “SWEET CORN”.Last but not least, many thanks go to the head of the
project, whose have invested his full effort in guiding the team in achieving the goal. I have to
appreciate the guidance given by other supervisor as well as the panels especially in our project
presentation that has improved our presentation skills thanks to their comment and advices.
2.0 INTRODUCTION TO THE PROJECT
2.1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Lecturer had give me a project that we need to plant to propagate it from seed
which is corn (maize) . I need to take a good care of our corn plant and make sure it got
an enough nutrient to grow bigger and get its fruit

2.2 SELECTION OF PLANT/ CROP

I had to choose corn plant to propagate it until week 14

2.3 PROJECT BENEFIT

If I propagate it with a best technics I will gain a benefit from that plant which it its
fruit.

3.0 PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

3.1 PROCESS/ PROCEDURE TO CREATE THE PROJECT
I. Site selection
I had to choose wisely a shade place to grow a new baby plant. Its must
have a best condition for my plant grow healthy

II. Growing medium

Mix soil, fertilizer, water

III. Propagation techniques

Soak the seed in water, dig a hole in seedling tray, wet the soil with water

IV. Seed handling

I need to soak the seed in water to germinate it before took it in the soil.

V. Transplanting
Transfer the plant into polybag when the plant ready.

VI. Fertilizer
I use fruit fertilizer because I grow a fruit plant

VII. Watering
In the morning and evening, everyday

VIII. Weed, pest and disease management

4.0 COST IMPLICATION

Cost for a packet of sweet corn seed is RM2.00. net, polybag and more don’t need a
cost because I use a usable tool to conduct my project. i don’t have profit and lose for this time
because the plant did not produce the fruit yet.

I hope I have a better place to plant a corn to get an income from it.

A baby plant of corn need a good care to get a best product and make sure it can grow
healthy.
