Article VIII: The Teachers and Learners

Section 1. A teacher has a right and duty to determine the academic marks and the promotions of learners in the
subject or grades he handles, provided that such determination shall be in accordance with generally accepted
procedures of evaluation and measurement. In case of any complaint, teachers concerned shall immediately take
appropriate actions, observing due process.

Before anything else the teacher are only computing the scores and the student who make the score The teacher has
the sole duty to determined the academics mark of the student and I would like to emphasized that the teacher are the
one who computing the scores of the student and the student are the one making their own grades. So there are times
that teacher’s would also over look some of the important data’s there and if there are complain then listen to it take a
look at your record if there is a mistake it’s very easy to accept your mistakes and apologize do the necessary action but
if you think there is no wrong be confident telling the parent or the student that there is nothing wrong with the
competition. More than anyone the teacher is the only one who knows the grades of the student because he the only
one who handles the result the different evaluative tool and quizzes given to student so give the student right grades or
due based on the outputs and the score that they have on the quizzes and activities.

Section 2. A teacher shall recognize that the interest and welfare of learners are of first and foremost concern, and
shall deal justifiably and impartially with each of them.

Meaning the welfare of the students is our priority nothing more nothing less. You are their because you want to teach
them so you have to treat them impartially meaning no favoritism no biases

Section 3. Under no circumstance shall a teacher be prejudiced or discriminate against a learner.

No discrimination no prejudice meaning all are equal to you what ethnicity they belong or what tribe they belong.
Everyone should be equal footing in the class they should not bully they should not discriminate our learners depending
on their belief, religion, economic status, cultural background even their mental aspect we should act as fair as possible.

Prejudice: This means that a teacher should not have any preconceived notions or biases about a learner
based on their race, gender, religion, or any other personal characteristic.

Section 4. A teacher shall not accept favors or gifts from learners, their parents or others in their behalf in exchange
for requested concessions, especially if undeserved.

You should not accept any gift or monetary donation for the purpose of asking favor or entitlement or to request
everything to you do not accept gifts but if that gift does not mean anything or just a simple token or a sign of
appreciation then you just have to accept it alright.

Section 5. A teacher shall not accept, directly or indirectly, any remuneration from tutorials other what is authorized
for such service.

For example you tutor your student you teach them your subject at home or after work you shall not accept payment
cause it your job to teach them just because they left behind and you will ask payment from the parents but if a parent
of other year level contact you and ask you to teach their student outside office hours that’s the only time that you can
ask for remuneration or bayad. But for remedial given to your students you’re not supposed to be get additional
remuneration cause that is your job.
Section 6. A teacher shall base the evaluation of the learner’s work only in merit and quality of academic performance.

The grades shall only be based on the outputs of the students based on the grades of the students for their exam or
quizzes. You are not allowed to deducted scores for students quizzes and grades because the student is hyper active
because that grades should be from the quality academics performance not on the behavior.

Section 7. In a situation where mutual attraction and subsequent love develop between teacher and learner, the
teacher shall exercise utmost professional discretion to avoid scandal, gossip and preferential treatment of the
learner.

As long as you can do not fall in love with your students, do not have an intimate relationship with any of students that
are unprofessional and very an ethical. If in the event there is a mutual attraction between learner and the teachers the
teacher shall exercise utmost professional discretion ( meaning if di jud kaya na in love na jud si teacher sa student niya
the teacher and the student must be discreet e tago na lang nila sa ilang self and ila na feel so that di sila ma scandal di
ma chismis di ma marites di mag tagaan ug meaning ang ilang interaction to their student na involve but as much as
possible do not build any intimate relationship with your student if di jud kaya pag pray na lang na mo graduate na sya
or din a sya nimo student).

Section 8. A teacher shall not inflict corporal punishment on offending learners nor make deductions from their
scholastic ratings as a punishment for acts which are clearly not manifestation of poor scholarship.

No to corporal punishment bawal saktan ang mga student , you shall not punish them by means of having deduction
from their scholastic rating that a big no no no.

Section 9. A teacher shall ensure that conditions contribute to the maximum development of learners are adequate,
and shall extend needed assistance in preventing or solving learner’s problems and difficulties.

You have to extend needed assistance, have to ensure the condition that would contribute maximum development of
the learners, if the learners need you, need to be tutored, need to be taught during your free time do it, if the learners
need to be heard that is during your free time do it because that your job. You have to be there if needed cause you are
consider the second parent.

Article X: The Teacher and Business

Section 1. A teacher has the right to engage, directly or indirectly, in legitimate income generation; provided that it
does not relate to or adversely affect his work as a teacher.

Section 2. A teacher shall maintain a good reputation with respect to the financial matters such as in the settlement of
his debts and loans in arranging satisfactorily his private financial affairs.

Section 3. No teacher shall act, directly or indirectly, as agent of, or be financially interested in, any commercial
venture which furnish textbooks and other school commodities in the purchase and disposal of which he can exercise
official influence, except only when his assignment is inherently, related to such purchase and disposal; provided they
shall be in accordance with the existing regulations; provided, further, that members of duly recognized teachers
cooperatives may participate in the distribution and sale of such commodities.
