CONFERENCE
ON
“CONTEMPORARY CRIMES,
VICTIMIZATION AND CRIME
PREVENTION”
20 March 2024
About the Conference
Contemporary crimes are crimes committed in modern, contemporary
society. While these crimes may only occur in modern times, new developments (e.g.
technology) lead to new methods of committing these crimes. People are driven to crime
because of the values of property, materialism and greed promoted by capitalism. Crime
prevention includes strategies and measures aimed at reducing the risk of crime and its
potential harmful effects on individuals and society, including fear of crime, by addressing
its multiple causes. This conference focuses and concentrates on the Crimes Victimizations
and Crime Prevention in the light of Contemporary Indian Societies. Since, there is a need
to have an in-depth discussion for recording and documenting the recent trends and
identifying suitable policy recommendation from the young minds. This has intended the
department to arrange for a platform to discuss/share the ideas acquired by the
Academicians (Students, Researchers and Faculties) from various disciplines and the
practitioners. About the University
