Layout Investigatory Project Poster Display Using MS Publisher

posters/displays following the Science Fair standards.

3. In this part, you can see More blank page sizes. Under “Custom”, select
“Create new page size…”.

5. On the right portion of your Publication “New Page Size”, you can
customize the color scheme and font scheme of your publication. In this
activity, choose “Sunrise” for color scheme and Georgia Bold for font
scheme then click “CREATE” button.
6. Under the “Page Design Menu” click “Guides” then under the “Built-In
Ruler Guides” choose “3 Columns with Heading” which is usually the
standard guide used in creating a poster for the display of the science
investigatory project. Guides will help you align objects in your publication.

7. After selecting the 3 columns with the heading guide, you can now select
your desired background and its color scheme. Click “Background”
indicated by the red arrow, then select your desired background.
8. In this workspace, you can now select or add text boxes for the title,
author, and an explanation of your science investigatory project.

9. This will be the final output of your work. You can now insert information
about your topic in your investigatory project.
10. After finishing your publication, you can now proceed to the printing
process. You can click “File Menu” then select “Print” or use the shortcut
key for printing such as “CTRL+P” to print your file.

Guided Practice 1
Directions: Create your first poster by following the instructions below.
1. Start MS Publisher.
2. Click on File, choose New Publication, then click Quick Publication.
3. From the list of options on the right side, click Pinwheel Template.
4. On the right side of the task pane, click your design color and font scheme,
then click create.
5. To insert a photo, click the frame, and on the taskbar click insert and
pictures.
6. Click the second frame and insert “My best friend”. Format the text as
desired.
7. Click the third frame and insert anything about your best friend. Format the
text as desired.
8. Save the poster as NAME_POSTER
9. Submit your output according to the instructions given by your teacher.

1. Start MS Publisher.
2. Click on File, choose NAME_POSTER, then open.
3. From the existing file, edit or change the file according to your own design
and template.
4. Click anything and insert anything about your subject. Format the text as
desired.
5. Save the poster as NAME_POSTER-edited

and explicit instruction:
First, the Learning Resources (LR) Development Team composed of the writers
and graphic artists for devoting their time and giving their best efforts to produce
these indispensable learning kits which will be used for the implementation of
learning delivery modalities.
Second, the content editors, language reviewers, and layout evaluators who
made up the Division Quality Assurance Team (DQAT) for having carefully evaluated
all GLAKs to ensure quality and compliance to DepEd standards;
Finally, the parents and other home learning facilitators for giving the learners
the necessary guidance and support for them to possibly accomplish the tasks and
for gradually helping them become independent learners.
