INTRODUCTION

In 100 words or less, discuss the role of the youth in nation building through NSTP.

- As a young person, I see NSTP as a very important tool in

molding us, the youth, into responsible citizens. It’s through
activities like ROTC, CWTS, and LTS that we learn values like
patriotism, social responsibility, and leadership. These aren’t just
words, but real skills that we can use to make a positive impact
on society. When we participate in NSTP, we’re not just ticking a
box, we’re making a difference in our communities, promoting
unity, cooperation, and progress. It’s a wake-up call for us to step
up, to take part in civic duties, and to understand the importance
of our role in society. NSTP has made us realize that we’re not
just the future, we’re the present. We have the power and the
responsibility to help build a better, stronger nation. So, NSTP is
more than a program, it’s a bridge that connects our youthful

energy and potential with the broader goal of nation-building. 🌍💪🏼

The Bill of Rights of Filipinos

A. Answer each question below in the space provided.

1. What rights are guaranteed (protected) to you as a Filipino citizen and which are
important to you?
 As a Filipino citizen, I’m guaranteed several rights under the constitution.
These include the right to freedom of speech, the right to due process, the right
to peaceful assembly, and the right to vote. The right that is most important to
me is the right to education. This right opens doors to opportunities and allows
me to grow as an individual and contribute to society.

2. What responsibilities come with your rights?

 With these rights come responsibilities. For example, with the right to freedom
of speech, I have the responsibility to use this freedom in a way that respects
others and doesn’t incite harm or violence. With the right to vote, I have the
responsibility to make informed decisions and participate actively in the
electoral process.

3. At What point does the common good of Society limit your rights?
 The common good of society may limit my rights when the exercise of these
rights may harm others or disrupt societal harmony. For instance, while I have
the right to free speech, I can’t use it to spread hate speech or false
information as it can harm individuals and society as a whole.
4. Do you think you are a responsible citizen? If so, why? If not, why?
 I believe I am a responsible citizen. I strive to exercise my rights responsibly,
respect the rights of others, and contribute to the community in any way I can. I
understand that being a responsible citizen means not only enjoying my rights
but also fulfilling my duties and obligations to society.
B. List three possible criteria you would use to describe a responsible citizen. Explain
one reason why being a responsible citizen is necessary to live in a free society.
