Preparation: Make one copy of the
worksheet for each student.
Extension

 sk students to write four more questions:
Procedure two Yes/No questions and two Wh- questions.
Then ask them to mingle again and make

 rite a few question prompts on the board: a note of their classmates’ answers to
Do you … ? Do your parents … ? Does your their questions.

Where do you … ? Elicit one or more full
questions for each prompt and encourage
students to give answers as you go along.

 and out the worksheets. First, focus
students’ attention on questions 1–10 and
the incomplete answers a–j. Ask them
to read them carefully and match them.
Check their answers. Then give students
enough time to complete the answers so
they are true for them. Monitor and help
as necessary.

 hen students finish, draw their attention
to the title of the task: Snap! Explain
that when two things are the same, we
say Snap! Give an example. Say I speak
English. Prompt another student to say
I speak English, too. Snap!

 sk students to walk around and ask
as many classmates as they can the
questions on the worksheet. They should
ask one question per classmate and then
move on to a different question and
person. When their classmate gives them
an answer, students should say whether
they are the same or different. If they are
the same, they can say Snap! and explain
further. Encourage them to write their
classmate’s name next to the question
when their answers match. Monitor
students as they mingle and make sure
they use the present simple correctly.
