a) Compute a new variable called “Total” by using the following formula:

Total=(EAT^4+TRAN^4)/INCOME*100. [3]

b) Tabulate the values of the mean, standard deviation, skewness and kurtosis of
the INCOME variable, only for female candidates. [3]

c) Recode the YEAR variable into a different variable called “RES” only for male
candidates. Use the following information to do so:

YEAR RES

8 years or more 1

3 to 7 years 2

Less than 3 years 3

[4]

d) Plot a pie chart to represent the variable SCORE. Also draw a scatter to
describe the relation between the independent variable EAT and the dependent
variable TRAN. Draw a bar chart to plot median values of EAT, TRAN and INCOME
variables. [2+2+2]

e) Obtain the linear regression analysis for the independent variable INCOME with
the dependent variable EAT.
