6. PRESENTATION OF THE LESSON

Are you excited to learn new today? Yes ma’am!

Okay , our topic for today is all about The

Elements Of Arts.
B. LESSON PROPER
1. ACTIVITY
(The teacher shows artworks)

Class what have you notice in the first picture?

The first picture is a drawing using lines.
Very good!
Now for the second picture?

The second picture is an art consisting of shapes

and colors.

2. ANALYSIS
The artworks I’ve shown you are the drawings
consisting of lines, shapes, colors but there is more
than that. It also consist form, value, space, and
texture.

So based on what I have said our Lesson for today

is about the elements of arts.

Let’s start with the Line

Line is an element of art defined by a point

moving in space. Line may be two-or-three-
dimensional, descriptive, implied or abstract.

Who can give examples of Line?

Horizontal, vertical, oblique and curved line.
Very good.

So this is the examples of Lines.

As you know class, lines are very important very

important on creating an artwork. Any idea why?

Yes Stephanie Because we can’t form anything without lines.

Thank you and correct.

Next Element of the Art is the Shape.

Shape is an element of art that is two
dimensional, flat, or limited to height and width.

Can you give me examples of shapes?

Yes Tanucan? Square, triangle, circle, and rectangle

Very good. Shapes are also important not only in

arts but also in life. Look around you, the world is
full of shapes.

So this is the shapes class.

Let’s move on to the Form An element of art that is three-dimensional and

Who can read ? encloses volumes. Includes height, width, and
Yes Recomo depth. As in cube, a sphere, a pyramid or a
cylinder.

Thank you.
So basically form is how the artwork will visualize
itself. For example the 3D cube.

Next element is the Value

The lightness or darkness of tones or colors. White
is the lightest value, black is the darkest. The value
halfway between these extremes is called middle
gray.

So value is an artwork may express lightness or

darkness.
Space is an element of art by which positive and
negative areas are defined or a sense depth
achieved in a work of art.

It means the emptiness of a spot on an artwork. It

defines the senses of depth or “lalim”

Color is the elements that is made up of three

properties:
1. hue : name of color
2. Value: hue’s lightness and darkness
3. Intensity: quality and purity

For example the primary colors blue, red and

yellow.

Last in the texture which means refers to the way

things feel, or look as if they might feel if touched.
Basically it refers how smooth or rough the
artwork feels.

Do you understand class what are the elements of

Yes ma’am
art?
Do have questions or any clarifications?
No ma’am
3. ABSTRACTION

Since you are already what is our topic discussion, I

will ask some questions and raise your hand if you
know the answer.

1. what are the elements of arts? Line, shape, form, value, space, color, and texture.

2. What are the examples of lines? Give atleast Horizontal line and Vertical Line.
two.

3. How do you define a texture? Refers to the smooth or rough the artwork feels.

4. APPLICATION

So base on your drawing class there is different
kinds of lines. I will introduce some pictures of the
different kinds of lines.
( The teacher will describe each lines)
As you can see in the pictures that is the different
kind of lines.

Class take note of this that lines are used to create

shape, pattern, texture, space, movement and
optical illusion in design. The use of the lines
allows artist to demonstrate delicacy or force.

I have an examples of arts that shows the different

kind of lines.

Observe on the picture class. Do you the lines?

In most basic sense, the line capture the essence
and the shape of an object. In the picture that lines
are the basis tools for the artist.

So class as what you have seen in the picture and

Our topic for today is about the Color Harmony.
B. LESSON PROPER
1. ACTIVITY
But before that, please be attentive for my short
activity.

Instructions: Rank your five favorite colors. Then

choose your top 1. Why did you choose that color?

I will choose one of you to answer my question. ( Pupil’s will listen attentively and will evaluate
their selves)
2. ANALYSIS
Colors that could be blended each other are called
with harmony. What are the things that come to
your mind if you hear the word “Harmony”? Harmony is oneness
Harmony is unity

When can you say that you have harmony in your Harmony is seen when you are helping each other
family? In your community? in the family.
Harmony is seen in the community when there are
no conflicts.

Do you know that colors also have harmony?

I have here a poster paint and white cartolina.

Class please observe okay?

(1. The teacher will paint color blue in the white
cartolina and label it Blue.
2. The teacher drop a little amount of blue then
mix it with white.)

What happens to the color? When the blue is blended into white it becomes
light blue ma’am

In color theory class, color harmony refers to the

property that certain aesthetically pleasing color
combinations have.
They are the easiest way to achieve success when
planning color in design. These color harmonies
bring color together in a way that is pleasing to the
eyes.

This is the color wheel

Color Basics

Three Primary Colors (Ps): Red, Yellow,

Blue.
Three Secondary Colors (S'): Orange,
Green, Violet.
Six Tertiary Colors (Ts): Red-Orange,
Yellow-Orange, Yellow-Green, Blue-Green, Blue-
Violet, Red-Violet, which are formed by mixing a
primary with a secondary.

Monochromatic color scheme a single hue from

the color wheel is used in different values and
intensities. The simpliest color harmony.

Example adding white to red to creates pink,

adding black to red to creates maroon.

Witthout color we would see the world in ranges

of black, white and grays.

Analogous color scheme is a type of color harmony

that uses 3 closely placed hues on a color wheel.

Complementary color scheme is 2 colors opposite

on the color wheel. They offer most contrast of
color.

Color harmony is very important when it comes in

the color combination of colors that helps us
achieve cohesive and interesting painting. None ma’am
Okay that’s for all. Do you have a questions?
Color harmony is when the colors picked for
ABSTRACTION painting, go well between them in a harmonious

What are the primary colors Abong? Color scheme that is comprised of variations of
one color.
How about Paz? What do you mean by
monochromatic color scheme?

Very good everyone.

3. APPLICATION
Let’s apply what you have learned today.
Please answer my questions and write in on 1
whole sheet of paper.

What is your favorite color? How do you

appreciate it? If you will be given a chance to
choose another color to blend with your favorite
color, what would it be and why?

IV. EVALUATION

I will group you into two. I have here a coloring materials and choose 1 leader. Create an artwork that
shows color harmony.

V.ASSIGNMENT

In a short bondpaper, create and artwork that shows color harmony. Either it is monochromatic color
scheme, analogous color scheme, complementary color scheme. Choose only 1.

know as a a batting order or line up.

SOFT BALL POSITIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Pitchers.

Pitchers are in control of the entire pace of the

game. There are certain responsibilities, skills,

Right Fielder.
Right fielders may be considered one of the easier

far out
