Before the Lesson

Daily Routine
1. Greetings
2. Prayer
3. Checking of Attendance
4. Reminders

A. Review Previous lesson or presenting the new

lesson.

Before we start let’s recall our lesson yesterday.

Do you still remember our lesson yesterday class? Yes, teacher!

What was our topic yesterday? Our last topic was about elements color, value, hue and tone
EXCELLENT! Okay, and what are those colors of rainbow
class? The color of rainbow is Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue,
Indigo and Violet.

So now, we have recalled our previous discussion class.

B. Establishing purpose for the lesson.

I have here jumbled letters, all you need to do is to guess the
correct word by using the pictures as clues, did you get it? Yes teacher!

1. TRIANGLE
1. GELRIANT 2 BUCE.
2. CUBE

3. CYLINDER

4. CIRCLE
3. LYNCIDER 4. CICLER

5. PYRAMID

5. RAPYMID

Now class, do you have any idea what was our lesson for
today? Yes teacher!
It is all about. 3-dimensional object teacher.
Very Good class!

What is 3-dimensional object?

A 3- dimensional art pieces, presented in the dimensions of
height, width, and depth, occupy physical space and can be
perceived from all sides and angles.

Very good!

C . Presenting example / Instances of the new lesson.

Now class, let see if you can identify all pictures whether they
are in 3D form or not.
If the object in the pictures that I present is 3D make your
thumbs UP and if not make your thumbs DOWN.

Is It clear class ? Yes teacher.

Okay class, let us begin with the first picture.

Answers:

1. Thumbs Up
2. Thumbs Down
1. 3. Thumbs Up
2. . 4. Thumbs Up
5. Thumbs Down

3.

4.

5.

Excellent!

Do you think there are similarities in the pictures? Yes teacher.

They are in 3D form teacher
What are those?
There are 3D objects that are made with paper
Anything else?

Very Good class!

There are 3D objects that are made with paper

D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #1

Some 3D objects are created with papers.

Do you know what they are called? They are called paper art teacher.
As we all know, paper is widely used in art.

Again class, what are the other uses of paper?

The other uses of paper is for drawing, painting,
printing and more teacher
Very good! Again, do you think we can use them to create
3D art?
Yes, teacher.

Okay, we can create various types of paper art such as paper

mosaic, paper quilling pop ups or paper cut design.

Do you have an idea now on what we are going to do? Yes teacher.

Now, I am going to make an artwork using paper.

Take a look at the pictures in front, what do you see?

(the teacher will show a picture in the traditional aids) I see different kinds of beads teacher.

Very good! And what are the beads made of? Teacher, they are made of colorful papers.

That’s what we can do later class, we can create DIY or (do it

yourself) necklace using paper beads.
Yes teacher!
Are you excited on it?

I am happy to know that.

E . Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #2

Now class, do you have all the materials that I asked you
yesterday?

What are the materials I asked you present to me for today’s

activity? Yes, teacher

The materials that we need for today’s activity are colorful

papers, scissor, glue, ruler, pen, stick and yarn teacher!
Alright then bring them out.

Before we begin what are the things we need to remember

when the leader a having a demonstration in front? (Listening carefully to the teacher)

(will give some reminders/rules to the class)

Do you promise to follow the rules mentioned earlier?

That’s good to know! Yes teacher.

Listen carefully to what I say and observe what I do. Because

we will be creating paper beads together, okay?

Let us proceed Okay teacher!

Step 1. Cut the papers into a triangular or rectangular shape

Step 2. Add glue to the tip of the triangle or rectangle.
Step 3. Rollthe beads tightly.
Step 4. Finish rolling then glue the tip of the triangle to the
rolled paper
Step 5. Remove the beads from the stick.
Step 6. Insert the yarn through the beads following any kind of
pattern you desire.
Here is the outcome.
Let us try to look at our artworks created. May I have someone
from the class to present his/her artwork.

What can you say about yours?

(pupil/s will present their artwork)
Yes ,, that is work like 3Dimentioanal paper beads

Very Good Class!

Next is the paper Mache

To make paper Mache you will need:

Newspaper, Plain flour
Water, Salt, Table covering, emulsion paint
Vaseline, paintbrush

Did you have all the materials?

Yes, teacher
Very Good!

Now let us proceed.

Step 1. Tear the newspaper into strips of about 3 inches long

and then put to one side.
Step 2. Next, make your glue paste. To make your glue take a
bowl and mix one part sieved flour with one part of water until
you get a thick glue-like consistency.
Step 3. Cover the strips of paper with the glue paste on both
sides with a paintbrush.
Step 4. Using your fingers, place your glue-soaked strips one
at a time over the object you’re covering and smooth down
with your brush to release air bubbles.
Step 5. Leave to dry. Then, when it is completely dried out,
you can gradually build up more layers to get to the required
strength and thickness of the Mache.
Step 6. When it is all completely dry – this may take overnight
– paint with two coats of emulsion paint to seal it. When it’s dry
you can paint it your desired color.

Are you all done class?

Very Good, did you followed the step to make paper Mache?

Yes, teacher

F. Developing Mastery

Now class let’s recall the steps in creating paper beads.

Arrange the step in creating paper beads. State the color of
what comes first up to the last step.

G . Finding Practical Application of concepts and skills in daily (the pupils will give opinion)
living.

So why paper Mache considered environmentally friendly?

Very good also!

Three-dimensional objects have 3 dimensions namely length,

breadth, and height. 3D shapes have faces, edges, and
vertices.

Excellent, I am glad that you understand our lesson for today.

Now let us have a simple quiz.

I . Evaluating Learning
Direction. Give the correct answer of the following question and Identify the correct answer.

1. This form of art can convert waste into reusable material.

2. It is a technique layering newspaper with a paste medium to create a sculpture.
3. This is a mixture of water and flour add the glue for each layer of newspaper.
4. It has three dimensions namely length, breadth, and height.
5. It is sculptural technique utilizing a paste medium layered with paper.
J . Additional Activities for application or recommendation.
Make a sculpture regarding to our topic which are the paper Mache/ paper beads. Apply the basic step for using make a sculpture
