II. MEETING TIME 1


Message: Water and air vehicles move in many ways. (Science)
Questions: Have you ridden a boat or a raft? Describe your experience.
Who went with you when you rode the boat? – Mama, papa, kuya and ate
How did you feel?
What did your mama/papa do to comfort you?
What made the vehicles move? – Very good!

III. WORK PERIOD 1


Motivation: Look at the pictures flashed from the t.v. What can you see in the picture?
(ICT)
Teacher-Supervised: Water Waves (Arts and Science)
Materials: basin, water, newspaper boats, coloring materials
Procedure:
1. Distribute paper boats to each learner.
2. Let each learner decorate a paper boat using coloring materials.
3. Fill the basin with water.
4. Let the learners put their boats on the water,
5. Ask the learners to make their boats move. Encourage them to try different methods.
6. Afterwards, ask the learners what made the boats move. Possible answers may
include: making waves, blowing the boats. blowing the water.
7. Process by saying that boats can move in different ways.

Setting of Standards
What do you need to do to make your outputs presentable?
- Help one another to finish the puzzle, don’t fight over the puzzle, don’t make
unnecessary noise.

Group Activities: Transportation Puzzle


Materials: big puzzle sets of pictures of air and water vehicles, pictures of the completed
puzzles
Procedure:
1. Encourage the learners work together to complete the big puzzles. Remind the
learners to share the materials with each other.

Activity: Show and Tell (Pagpapakita ng mga ginawa)

Story: Ciriaco ang Malupit na Kapitan ng Barko (Filipino)

Ciriaco ang Malupit na Kapitan ng Barko


Si Ciriaco ay kapitan ng barko. Malupit siya, kaya’t takot sa kaniya ang mga tao. Agad
niyang pinarurusahan ang nagkakamaling tauhan. Walang mahalaga kay Ciriaco kundi ang
presyo ng kargamento.

Minsan, sa kanilang paglalayag, biglang dumating ang bagyong malakas. “Mabigat ang
laman ng barko baka kami lumubog,” naisip ni Ciriaco.

Nang magsimulang pasukin ng tubig ang sasakyan, ipinatapon ni ciriaco ang ibang
kasangkapan. Pero patuloy sa paglakas ng bagyo. Muli niyang ipinatapon ang ibang gamit sa
barko. “Lulubog po tayo kundi babawasan ang ating kargamento!” sigaw ng isang tauhan.

“Kayo ang dapat itapon!” sigaw ni Ciriaco. Pero biglang sinalpok ng alon ang barko. Kahit
nagkakagulo ang lahat, may nakaisip na ang kapitan ay iligtas. Nang makaahon, nag-utos si
Ciriaco. “Sige itapon ang mga kargamento.” Dahil sa ginawa sa kaniya ng mga tauhan nasabi
niya sa sarili ng kapitan: “Maaring gawin at palitan ang kargamento, pero hindi maaring gawin
at palitan ang tao.

VIII. WORK PERIOD II


Teacher-Supervised: Paper Planes (Arts)
Materials: paper, chart on how to make a paper airplane with illustrations
Procedure:
1. Give each learner a piece of paper.
2. Read each step to the learners.
3. Do each step together. Assist the learners who have difficulty following instructions.
4. Talk about how the airplane flies.
5. During outdoor play, allow the learners to fly their paper airplanes.

Independent Activities: Math Equations (Math)


Materials: worksheet with pictures of adding and subtracting with blanks for space in
writing the numerals and the symbols
Procedure:
1. Review the concept of writing mathematical equations.
2. Demonstrate how to accomplish the worksheet. Use examples.
3. Ask the learners to answer the worksheet independently.
IX. INDOOR/ OUTDOOR ACTIVITY
Number Relay (Math)
Materials: Number cards, picture cards
Procedure:
1. Let the pupils form their line.
2. Demonstrate the activity.
3. Place the number cards and picture cards on the floor.
4. The first player will pick 1 picture card and number card that corresponds the number
of objects in the picture card.
5. Then he will tap the second players shoulder and will do the same.

X. MEETING TIME 3
Dismissal Routine
1. Panalangin (Salamat Po Panginoon)
2. Pagpila para sa pag-uwi
