Lesson 7-8 Electromagnets-The effect on the number of cells to the

strength
An Electromagnet is a temporary magnet. It has the power to attract metals such as iron, nickel and cobalt when
electricity flows through it. It is a magnet made by passing the electricity through a wire coil, core (nail), and the
main source of electricity which is the battery or dry cell. It can be made stronger by using more dry cells, increase
the number of turns of coil. Most of our electrical appliances at home make use of electromagnet and can be used in
so many ways. The strength and weakness of an electromagnet vary on the
following: number of coils turn, using of steel core, voltage of
electrical source and the number of cell / battery used.

I. Arrange the procedure in constructing III-Draw the battery, wire coil and magnetic
electromagnet. Write numbers 1-5 field. Label the positive and negative ends of
the battery, and the poles of the coil’s
