Short conversations between a pharmacist and a customer, each addressing a different health issue, medication, and

treatment:

1. Customer with Allergies:


o Customer: “Good morning! I’ve been sneezing a lot lately. I think I have allergies.”
o Pharmacist: “Hello! Allergies can be quite bothersome. You might want to try an antihistamine. I
recommend ______________. Take one tablet daily. Is there anything else I can assist you with?”
o Customer: “Thank you! How much does it cost?”
o Pharmacist: “Certainly! It’s cost $________. You can pay at the counter.
o Customer: “Great, thank you.”

2. Customer with Acid Reflux:


o Customer: “Hi there! I’ve been experiencing heartburn after meals. What should I do?”
o Pharmacist: “Good afternoon! It sounds like acid reflux. You can try an acid reducer. I can offer you
this over-the-counter medicine, I think it would help. Take one pill before breakfast. Also, avoid spicy
and fatty foods. Anything else you’d like to know?”
o Customer: “Thanks! How much does it cost?”
o Pharmacist: “Certainly! It cost $_______. You can pay at the counter.”
o Customer: “Got it, thank you!”

3. Customer with Insomnia:


o Customer: “Good evening! I can’t sleep well at night. Any recommendations?”
o Pharmacist: “Hello! Do you have a prescription?
o Customer: No, I haven’t. Can you recommend any?
o Pharmacist: I’m sorry, but you need a prescription for that medicine. We can’t give you any without a
prescription.
o Customer: Oh, I didn’t know it. Ok, no problem, I will try to get a prescription and I’ll be back, thank
you.
o Pharmacist: No problem, have a nice day.

4. Customer with High Blood Pressure:


o Customer: “Hi! I have a prescription for blood pressure.
o Pharmacist: “Good morning! Let me see. Yes, we have it. Wait a minute here while I look at the
medicine.
o Customer: Okay, I’ll wait.
o Pharmacist: Here you are.
o Customer: Thank you. How should I take it?
o Pharmacist: Take one tablet daily. Also, I recommend reducing salt intake. Anything else I can help
you with?”
o Customer: “Thank you! How much does it cost?”
o Pharmacist: “Certainly! It cost $________. You can pay at the counter.”
o Customer: “Appreciate it, I’ll take it, thank you.”
o Pharmacist: You’re welcome, have a nice day.
5. Customer with a Cold:
o Customer: “Hello! I’ve got a cold. Any suggestions?”
o Pharmacist: “Hi there! Do you have a prescription?
o Customer: No, I haven’t. Can you recommend any?
o Pharmacist: Yes of course. I can recommend you try a decongestant. __________ can help. Take
one tablet every 4-6 hours as needed. Stay hydrated and rest. Is there anything else I can assist you
with?”
o Customer: “Thanks! How much does it cost?”
o Pharmacist: “Certainly! A box of _______ costs $_______. You can pay at the counter.”
o Customer: “Perfect, thank you.”
o Pharmacist: You’re welcome.
