FIFTH DAY

This is my Second week as a student teacher here in Acal Elementary School and I’m used in every daily
routine of the class. I didn’t expect that my cooperating teacher would ask me to conduct the Flag
Ceremony and also the one to beat in the front of whole students of Acal Elementary School, I was
shocked at first and I feel a little bit nervous but I did it perfectly. That was out of my comfort zone but
thankfully I have survived it, I was thankful that my cooperating teacher very good and help me to learn
fast and be comfortable with the field. And the class starts, it’s rainy day here at Acal Elementary School
and there’s a thunderstorm. Thankfully it doesn’t affect the students, but afterwards the electric power
shutdown and the projector has stopped functioning. And my cooperating was anxious because he
forgot to bring his materials, but instead of getting angry he managed the lesson and continue his
teaching using that traditional way of teaching, using Chalk and talk method but still asking for the
response of the students. I’m amazed on how skillful and resourceful my cooperating teacher is, I don’t
see any cramming or hustle on how he teach, even though the students are so noisy sometimes. Only on
body language and gestures are enough to manage the class and minimize the noise, i see his dedication
and passion in his profession so that I admire him as my cooperating teacher. This is my Fifth Day and my
second week but I have a lot of inventories in my mind and also a memories that I can’t forget.

SIXTH DAY

6th Day of Observation at Acal Elementary School

On the sixth day of my observation as a student teacher at Acal Elementary School, I had an immersive
teaching experience and worked closely with my mentor teacher, Mr. Jay O Ecal. This report highlights
key observations and experiences from this day of learning. During the morning session, I assisted Mr.
Jay O. Ecalin conducting a science experiment on evaporation. Students actively participated in
discussions and hands-on activities, displaying curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. I provided
individual support to a student named Roselyn, helping her understand the concept and witnessing her
progress.

In the afternoon, I led a small group activity on persuasive writing. Students engaged in critical thinking
and effective communication while developing persuasive arguments. I supported a student named
James, assisting him in articulating his thoughts and observing his growth. The sixth day of observation
at Acal Elementary School reaffirmed my passion for education and the importance of personalized
attention. Collaborating with Mr. Jay O. Ecal gave me valuable insights into effective teaching strategies. I
look forward to building upon these experiences and further refining my teaching skills in my future
endeavors as a student tteacher.
SEVENTH DAY

On the seventh day of my observation as a student teacher at Acal Elementary School, I continued to
actively engage with the students, furthering my understanding of effective teaching practices. This
report highlights my experiences and observations during this valuable day of learning.

During the morning session, I had the opportunity to lead a math lesson on fractions. The students were
introduced to the concept through a real-life problem-solving activity. I observed that the students were
particularly engaged during this lesson, as they were able to connect mathematical concepts to everyday
situations. To maintain an interactive learning environment, I utilized various visual aids, hands-on
manipulatives, and group discussions. This approach helped reinforce the understanding of fractions and
fostered collaboration among the students. It was rewarding to witness the students’ progress as they
confidently solved problems and offered explanations to their peers.

In the afternoon, I collaborated with Mr. Jay O Ecal to conduct a creative writing activity. The students
were given a prompt and encouraged to brainstorm ideas, develop engaging plots, and craft their own
stories. Ms. Johnson emphasized the importance of creativity, critical thinking, and effective
communication skills in written expression. I actively engaged with the students during this activity,
providing guidance and feedback to enhance their writing skills. One student, Sarah, was initially hesitant
in expressing her ideas. By offering encouragement and gentle guidance, she gained confidence and
eventually produced an inspiring piece of writing. This experience reinforced the significance of fostering
a supportive and nurturing environment to promote student growth.

The seventh day of my observation as a student teacher at Acal Elementary School allowed me to further
hone my teaching skills and witness the positive impact of student engagement. The math lesson
demonstrated the power of hands-on activities and collaboration in deepening understanding, while the
creative writing activity emphasized the importance of nurturing students’ creativity and confidence in
their abilities.

EIGHT DAY

“On my 8th day as a student teacher at Acal Elementary School, I had the wonderful opportunity to
assist my cooperating teacher in designing the classroom. Together, we worked on creating an
engaging and welcoming environment for the students. It was a great chance for me to learn about
classroom organization and the importance of creating a positive learning space. Later in the day, I had
the privilege of helping my cooperating teacher in checking the summative tests of our students. It
was an insightful experience to see the progress they had made and to assess their understanding of
the topics we had covered. This task allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the assessment
process and the importance of providing constructive feedback to students.

In the afternoon, I had the chance to conduct a reading activity with the students. I implemented a
strategy called “pinpointing the words,” where I guided the students to focus on specific words while
reading. This activity aimed to enhance their reading comprehension and vocabulary skills. It was
heartwarming to witness their enthusiasm and engagement as they actively participated in the
aactivity Overall, my 8th day at Acal Elementary School was filled with valuable learning experiences. I
am grateful for the opportunities to contribute to the classroom environment, assist in assessing
student progress, and engage the students in meaningful reading activities. These experiences have
further strengthened my passion for teaching and have provided me with valuable insights into the
daily responsibilities of an educator.”
