Answer:

1. In the case of Mrs. Bhatia, the Director has given her full responsibility for the
Examination Department without providing her with any guidance or support. He has
also failed to take any action against the other faculty members who are sabotaging
her work, even after she has brought their behavior to his attention.
This suggests that the Director is either not interested in or not capable of providing
effective leadership. He is leaving it up to Mrs. Bhatia to deal with the problems in the
Examination Department on her own, even though she is clearly being targeted by her
colleagues effective in some situations, but it is not always the best approach. In this
case, it is clear that the other faculty members are taking advantage of the Director's
hands-off approach. They are able to get away with bad behavior and mistreating Mrs.
Bhatia. The Director needs to take a more active role in leading his team. He needs to
address the situation with the other faculty members and make it clear that their
behavior is unacceptable. He also needs to support Mrs. Bhatia and show her that he
values her contributions to the institute.

2. Prof. Bhatia is a leader, while Prof. Sharma is not. Prof. Bhatia demonstrates the
following qualities of a leader:
- Vision: She has a clear vision for the Examination Department and is working
to improve it for the benefit of students.
- Communication: She communicates effectively with students and faculty,
keeping them informed of changes and developments.
- Collaboration: She encourages collaboration and Integrity: She is honest and
ethical in her dealings with others.
- Empathy: She is understanding and compassionate, and she values the input of
others. Prof. Sharma, on the other hand, doteamwork among faculty and staff.
- She’s not demonstrate any of these qualities. She’s is more interested in
personal gain than in the good of the department or the students. He is also
unwilling to collaborate with others and is quick to anger.
