A. Purpose – Objectives

The purpose of this course is to help students understand the basics of computers.

B. Teaching Methodology

This course will be taught using a combination of formal lectures and lab work. Students will learn in theory
how computers work and why they respond in a certain manner and then they will be able to apply this
knowledge during practical exercises on the computers. During the course the students will have to present
two papers where they will demonstrate what they have learnt and at the end of each semester they will have
to take a written examination that will be summed and averaged with two grades from the papers and class
participation.
