 Motivation Letter

Dear AAPG Student Chapter,

I want to be part of your student group as a newcomer studying Geological Engineering; I
am very passionate about gaining knowledge in the oil and gas sector.
Joining AAPG would be good for increasing my understanding and abilities in petroleum
geology. I am impressed with the chapter because it has many different activities, like going on
field trips, attending workshops, and meeting other people at events. These activities are good for
me because they give hands-on experience, let me learn from people who know a lot about the
industry, and help make friends with other students who think similarly.
To satisfy the growing need for energy around the world, it is very important to search for
oil and gas. Searching for these resources gives us fuel that we use in vehicles, heats our living
spaces, and operates various machines. Moreover, it is able to create resources that save money
and have fewer carbon emissions than the ones we use now—this helps reduce the harm fossil
fuels do to our environment. So looking into oil and gas should get attention from everyone.
I am very much looking forward to becoming a member of AAPG and contributing towards
achieving its aims and objectives. You will notice that I have abundant enthusiasm, sincere
interest, and complete dedication. Additionally, I am very willing to participate in any activities
or events organized by your chapter. I look forward to you considering my application and hoping
