DR. JENILYN ROSE B. CORPUZ

Schools Division Superintendent
Division of Caloocan City
10th Ave., Kalookan HS, Caloocan City

Dear Dr. Corpuz:

This is to request your office for authorization and endorsement to enable teacher-
coaches of Campaign for Education Tenacity (CACHET) in the attached list to attend the
Family Workshop-Forum, scheduled for THURSDAY, 25 JANUARY 2024, from 7:30 a.m.to
5:30 p.m., co-organized by the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) and Alalay sa
Pamilya at Bayan Foundation, Inc. (APB).

The conference fee for early birds is PHP 1,000, inclusive of food, handouts, and all
operational expenses.

It is said that the Filipino Family is in crisis, but that there is the grace and the natural
strength to restore its rich heritage.

It is with this backdrop that the University of Asia and the Pacific (through the
Professorial Chair on Family and Youth Education), in collaboration with Alalay sa Pamilya at
Bayan Foundation, Inc. (APB); Defending Family Values Foundation, Inc. (DFV); and the
Center for Education in Governance (CEG) is organizing a national conference, with the
following details:

ENRICHING THE FILIPINO FAMILY:

A GIFT TO THE NATION
Li Seng Giap Auditorium, University of Asia and the Pacific,
Thursday, 25 January 2024, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
A National Family Workshop Forum

The conference seeks to bring together stakeholders of Filipino Family and Family
Life to have a closer look at the challenges facing today’s Family in Crisis and propose
programs and projects to resolve them effectively and efficiently, In anticipation of the forum,
a profiling research is currently being conducted on family demographics, socio-moral
situation, perceptions, attitudes and aspirations, using judgment area sampling of
representative socio-economic classes.

The goal of the conference is a Position Paper on the challenges of Filipino family
and youth and possible program responses to them over time, for submission to the
Executive and Legislative Department of Government; Local Government Units; Department
of Education (Regional and Schools Division Offices); Family Organizations and Interest
Groups; and Private and State Universities and Colleges. An abridged version of the Position
Paper shall be a major handout during the IFFD (International Foundation for Family
Development) Conference in Cebu City in February 2024.

We are sending the program for your information. The intervenors will be identified in
a subsequent communication.

We hope you will find this request worth your while considering. The presence
students of different social sectors targeted and the highly interactive methodology of the
conference promise to yield a good guarantee that the family challenges of a wider array of
social groups could be addressed slowly but surely, with much thought and will towards
effectiveness, workability, and sustainability.

Thank you, and all the best to your noble endeavors to protect and preserve, enrich
and enhance the well-being of the Filipino Family! For more details and registration of
participants, please call Marievic Maala at 01975026612 or send email to
