ADVISORY
In view of the SB Resolution No. 10, series of 2024, declaring the ENTIRE MUNICIPALITY OF
STA. JOSEFA, AGUSAN DEL SUR UNDER THE STATE OF CALAMITY due to flooding
brought by shear line and pursuant to Section 6 of the Price Act (RA 7581) as amended, PRICES
OF ALL BASIC NECESSITIES IN THE MUNICIPALITY ARE AUTOMATICALLY FROZEN
AT THEIR PREVAILING PRICES, which shall be the average price of the basic necessities within
a month from the declaration of the State of Calamity.

Under RA 7581 as amended, basic necessities include the following: rice; corn; cooking oil; fresh,
dried and other marine products; fresh eggs; fresh pork, beef and poultry meat; fresh milk; fresh
vegetable; root crops; sugar; and fresh fruits monitored by the Department of Agriculture; canned
fish and other marine products; processed milk; coffee; laundry soap; detergent; candles; bread;
salt; potable water in bottles and containers; locally-manufactured instant noodles monitored by
the DTI; drugs classified as essential by the DOH; household liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and
kerosene monitored by the DOE.

Unless sooner lifted, the price freeze shall remain effective for the duration of the condition that
brought it about but not for more than 60 days, provided that for household LPG and kerosene,
the duration shall be not more than 15 days.

All concerned are warned that violators shall suffer the penalty of imprisonment for a period of
one (1) year to ten (10) years, or a fine ranging from P5,000.00 to P1,000,000.00 or both at the
discretion of the court aside from applicable administrative penalties.
