My Teaching Journey for the Day Date: January 22,2024


1.1 What preparations did you do for your class today?

Today, I prepare myself for yet another topic to tackle. We learned about "Disciplined and
Punishment." I also learnt that discipline includes both learning and violating children's rights.
In discipline, which is teaching.

1.2 How did you start your lesson? How did you motivate the students?

First, we need to have an energizer that will encourage the students to join and stay active.

1.3 What are the teaching strategies did you apply? Are they effective for engaging the

Students in learning? Yes, my teaching strategy has positive effects with students as they
have new things to do that they are interested in and will engage in on every day.

1.4 Did you encounter any problem with the students? How did you handle the
students’ behavior?

By communicating them properly and to open up with their own issues and help them to stop
that unnecessary behaviors. It is really important to tell them abt their issues so that they are
aware

1. What preparations did you do for your class today?

I prepare myself for a role play in which we will touch upon student behavior and the reasons
why some students make fun of their peers.

2. How did you start your lesson? How did you motivate the students?

First, pray and provide some motivating quotes.

3. What are the teaching strategies did you apply? Are they effective for engaging the

Students in learning?

Yes.

4. Did you encounter any problem with the students? How did you handle the
students’ behavior?

Yes, I notice and experience many of the learners' behaviors, and in order to find out why
they have that attitude, I will speak with them privately and inform them about it, as well as
assist them in changing their behavior. And it is up to them to apply it to themselves.

5. What are the things you need to improve for the next day?

More progressive in teaching

1. What preparations did you do for your class today?

Today we discussed about the orientation for grand demo teaching, the preparation for SOE
days, the teaching learning activities, and what PPST is.

2.How did you start your lesson? How did you motivate the students?

In order to motivate my students, I will greet them good morning, ask about their day, and
give them a verse to explain.

3. What are the teaching strategies did you apply? Are they effective for engaging the

Students in learning?

My teaching methods help my students listen and participate in all of the tasks I assign
during class discussions.

students’ behavior?

Today, none.

Use active learning strategies.

1. What preparations did you do for your class today?

Today, we discussed the 7 domains and continued to finalize the culminating activity, while
some of my co-pre - service teachers began the grand demo.

2. How did you start your lesson? How did you motivate the students?

Always be prepared, and I encourage learners by offering them a word of wisdom from God
so that they can obtain motivation to work hard.

Yes, Methods of teaching provide a lot of structures on how to teach a class.

Set clear goals make it positive. Write your goal in terms of what you want to achieve not
what you don't want.

Continue the grand demo

I encourage everyone to work hard and constantly think positively.

3. What are the teaching strategies did you apply? Are they effective for engaging the

Yes. Always create a strategy for students so that everyone participates and works with you
as the teacher.

students’ behavior?

Sometimes, and to resolve this issue, I will communicate with them.

More practice to maintain children's attention.

My Weekly Reflection Week 02:January 22- 26, 2024
Notes for the Week:

Today, we discussed disciplined and punishment in teaching, including learning and


violating children's rights. We prepared for a role play on student behavior and why
some students make fun of their peers. We also discussed orientation for grand demo
teaching, preparation for SOE days, teaching learning activities, and PPST. We
discussed the 7 domains and finalized the culminating activity, while co-pre-service
teachers began the grand demo.

My Goal for this Week

My goal as a teacher is to improve my students' education and assist them become more
knowledgeable. I want my students to be able to express themselves freely and creatively
whenever they want. With this flexibility, students will be able to experiment with their likes
and dislikes, as well as identify their own shortcomings and talents.

1. What worked really well this week?

The orientation for pre-service teachers will greatly help us in obtaining more
important information about internships. And be ready to become a pre-service teacher.

2. What could have gone better/more effective? What was missing or needed?

To be engaged with students in order to communicate with and listen to them.

3. What is my verse for the week that will motivate me to reach my goal?

Luke 6:40 – “The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained
will be like their teacher.”

Jesus desires for his disciples to become like him. To adopt his ideas. Character.
