I. Prologue
Eight-year-old Camille Dufler meets a mysterious gold train in the woods. Despite the
happy atmosphere, her mother Adele is furious and rushes to their cabin. Forced to
weave magical golden threads, Camille witnesses her mother’s growing cruelty,
beginning with her father’s accident. Princess Brigid Delaforte appears, demonstrates
Camille’s magical powers, and offers a deal: she will pay for Camille’s magic in
exchange for the girl’s apprenticeship. Tempted to give up the hard life, Camille agrees
to the deal after receiving a special necklace from the Queen. As the car takes her
away, Camille thinks about her father and her new life in the castle.

II. Chapter 1: The Mermaid’s Scale


Princess Annalize participates in a high-stakes card game at The Mermaid's Scale
Tavern to win a packet of Sidarius Blueworm Powder. A struggle ensues after he has
successfully punched opponents, and he gets his reward with a knife. Meanwhile,
Camille, who is part of the royal household rather than royalty, observes a garden
party at Stillwater Castle. He hides in the library, where he sees Guard Captain Isaac
Webb kissing Elsie Marks. Unsatisfied, Camille abruptly interrupts, leaving Isaac and
Elsie. Later, Ryan King enters the library, and something mysterious happens, much to
Camille's dismay.

III. Chapter 2: Ties That Bind Us


Queen Anna was by a river when she was attacked. She fought back and it turned out to be
her teacher, Miss Sophie. They talked about how Anna learned to use her special powers to
create hallucinations and nightmares. It brought back sad memories for Anna and she asked
Miss Sophie what had happened to her mother during their attack on the castle. Miss Sophie
said it was important for Anna to fail the magic test and get the secret map to avoid being
caught. The chapter ended with Anna returning to her cabin. There he talked to Miss Sophie,
Sir Henry, and his regular tutor, thereby showing them the strange family situation.
IV. Chapter 3: From The Darkness
Princess Penelope Delaforte aka Penny attends garden parties where she gets drunk
to cope with the overwhelming emotions she feels from others. Memories of reading
sentimental plays with her late father resurface. Meanwhile, on the other side of the
kingdom, Princess Annalize Sidarius, or Anna, tries to poison a healer named Melody
at a garden party. Anna successfully administers the poison, causing Melody to
collapse. Anna intervenes posing as a healer, and uses a lemon wedge to revive
Melody. The crowd applauds Anna for her quick thinking, but a man with a clipboard
calls out, leaving the head on a mysterious note.

V. Chapter 4: So Rare And Lovely


Ryan King recovers from a mysterious illness and is cared for by Isaac and his sister
Penny. Isaac playfully feeds Ryan soup, but Ryan is still in pain and refuses to believe
Isaac about the cause. Using a mystical power, Penny temporarily relieves Ryan's pain.
This time, Camille will join them in bed, and Ryan feels even more excited. On the
other side of the castle, the Queen’s advisor John offers Anna a position as a therapist
after saving a fallen girl at a garden party. This offer included the training of a new
Doctor, June, and work at the castle. Lastly, Princess Brigid receives a vision of
Nightweaver and a guard named Hunter attacking others in the West Tower, who is
showing signs of being trapped in a nightmare

VI. Chapter 5: Until It Bleeds


Disguised as a healer, Anna enters the castle at night and demands a map of Nyxos.
She finds a magical lock in the golden chest under King Ryan's bed, and her attempt
to tear it open with a jeweled pin results in pain and failure Then Princess Brigid
Hunter plays a guard who shows signs of nightmare magic, Behind Hunter's
associated deadly power are Nightweavers Healing is done with herbs since there is
no magical healing from Zarob. During a tense meeting, King Ryan takes Anna to his
room. She uses her healer mask to deflect suspicion but feels the pressure of her
Nightweaver powers building up inside her. Camille, Isaac, and Penny attend the party
where Isaac receives the news of Hunter's death. This revelation surprises Camille and
allows the winners of an undisclosed event to be announced.
VII. Chapter 6: The Path Unwalked
Princess Brigid announces the winners of the unknown event, and Camille doesn’t
want to be one of them. Camille's rival Elsie also wins, causing tension. During the
induction ceremony, Camille vows to follow in Deweywing’s footsteps. Isaac faces
judgment and whispers because of the sudden exclusion of candidates. Isaac alone
seeks solace with Elsie and begins with love. Now King Ryan proposes to amend the
law of succession so that his sister Penny can inherit the throne. Princess Brigid
opposes the idea, thinking Ryan would be fine. The conversation switches from
nightmare magic to the death of a guard, leaving Ryan to investigate. Isaac meets with
Queen Brigid to send a healer to him, exposing a possible deception. In a flashback,
King Arthur on his deathbed entrusts his mentor John with a key and a secret to a
forbidden room that Ryan should never enter.

VIII. Chapter 7: The Bottom of The Sea


Isaac and Aedyon question the whereabouts of Nightweaver's kidnapped children.
Motivated by his trauma from the war, Edyon orders Isaac to kill the prisoners. Isaac
whose argument finally takes over. Meanwhile, a newcomer to the castle, Anna learns
of Nightweaver’s murder and steals the man’s engagement ring. Seeing the tension
between Ryan, Elsie, and her siblings, Camille regrets having an early breakfast. Ryan
suddenly feels pain, and Camille worries about the forbidden "mixture" that reveals
their magical powers. Ryan suddenly leaves the room, leaving the others confused.

IX. Chapter 8: Love And Hate


At Stillwater Castle, Anna attends to a variety of patients, including an unwell King
Ryan. As they communicate, he tactfully seeks out information. Princess Penny
encounters boredom in her geography class. Camille deals with frustration with her
lessons and learns about Isaac’s family background. Isaac receives a letter from his
father threatening to confiscate his inheritance due to his lack of magical powers.
X. Chapter 9: Fish On A Hook
Camille follows Queen Brigid’s orders to influence council member Dax Beauchamp
on King Ryan’s succession bill. She uses magic to convince Dex not to vote against the
proposal. Meanwhile, paramedic Anna tries to find a key to Ryan’s abode and applies a
sedative to relieve his fever. Princess Penny fights writer’s block on the street, and
Grayson, who fights magic, turns out to be emotionally unreadable. The chapter ends
with Camille making the most of it, Anna’s continued search for the key, and Penny’s
interest in Grayson.

XI. Chapter 10: Life And Death


Ryan opens the mystery door, feeling a great deal of pain because of the hidden
picture. Camille is more than happy to manipulate the Queen, especially worried
about her influence over Dex. Elsie gives Camille a seizure during a magic exercise,
and Doctor Anna intervenes. When Camille confronts Ryan’s flaws, problems arise
and she invites Anna to the party to reveal her complexity.

XII. Chapter 11: The Hallow’s Eve Party


Ryan considers the extreme measure proposed by his friend Isaac and thinks of ways
to control the disgruntled doctor. Dr. Anna feels something off about her. The
conversation turns to Isaac’s mysterious past and the death of a guard named Hunter.
Meanwhile, Anna and Camille attend a Halloween Eve party and meet Ryan and Isaac.
The tension builds when a drunk and hostile person accuses Anna of being Ryan’s
mistress. The chapter ends with Anna feeling the effects of a drugged drink.

XIII. Chapter 12: The King’s Toy


Anna is under the influence of Nightmare Sleep, a powerful hallucinogenic. Tristan,
the antagonist, manipulates the situation to force Anna into a state of humiliation.
However, a powerful figure named Ryan intervenes and controls Tristan, causing him
to submit to Anna. The chapter ends with increasing tension between the characters,
with Camille having a heated confrontation with Elsie, who professes a romantic
interest in Isaac, creating further complications
XIV. Chapter 13: A Beautiful Dream
Following the incident in the tavern, Ryan and Tristan face off, revealing sturdy
dynamics and unresolved troubles among the two. Meanwhile, Penny, feeling
depressed, meets Tristan on a road and reluctantly concurs to try rough dream sex.
Grayson steps in and takes care of Penny, displaying that he cares about her
well-being. The chapter ends with Penny going right into a dreamlike state under the
influence of dream sleep.

XV. Chapter 14: Bittersweet As Orange Peels


Penny goes to the woods of the Golden Settlement and meets Lucia, the goddess of
light. Isaac and Elsie get into trouble, and Anna frantically searches for Ryan in his
apartment, leading to a heated confrontation that is interrupted by guards. The
chapter delves into the struggles and relationships within the character.

XVI. Chapter 15: To Bend Is To Break


Ryan faces opposition from the council over the property code changes. Brigid
proposes an unconventional solution: marry Camille to inherit the throne. Ryan
doesn’t want to, and the chapter also delves into his health issues. Meanwhile, Penny
wakes up after an argument with Lucia and finds Grayson in his room, creating an
awkward and unexpected mix of tension between them

XVII. Epilogue
Waking up in a dusty, flimsy room, Lucia puts her growing powers to good use by
devising plans to wreak havoc. She radiates a golden glow with a mischievous smile,
unwilling to destroy her surroundings. Meanwhile, while exploring the castle library at
night, Penny runs into Grayson. They talk about Libertas, memory loss, and emotions.
Grayson reveals his struggle with Penny’s indifference and asks her to try to remember
him. The tension rises, leading to brief interruptions of sudden thunder and lightning.
When Penny leaves the library, she manages to remember the name from the poetry
section, which is a small victory in her efforts to recover her lost memories
