Research Design

This study used two different sorts of research designs. This is a developmental and

experimental research plan to evaluate the performance of an alternate sewage garbage collector

with water filtration. A developmental research design is utilized to evaluate the functionality,

reliability, and reaction time of an alternate sewage trash collector that includes water filtration.

According to Ahmad Abdullahi Ibrahim (2016) developmental research is defined as a

systematic study of designing, developing, and evaluating instructional programs, processes, and

product that must meet the criteria of internal consistency and effectiveness. Experimental

research design is also used in this study. It is used in determining the functionality of the

alternative sewage trash collector with water filtration.

Research Locale

The study was conducted in Dolores Boulevard, Dolores, Eastern Samar. Dolores is a

coastal town bounded on the east by the Pacific Ocean in the Eastern Visayas. The rationale

behind this option comes from the fact that the majority of the residents of Dolores found it

convenient to put their trash in the sewage, resulting in their rubbish going right to the boulevard.

Research Instrument

The researchers used two checklists to collect pertinent data. First, the checklist includes

five (5) questions. It is used to specify the functioning of the device. The researchers only used

one (1) setup to determine the device's reliability. This is also used to test the device's response
time.

Data Gathering Procedure

The purpose of this study is to construct and test the performance of an alternate sewage

trash collector with water filtration. During the gadget design and development phase, the goal is

to create a prototype of a sewage trash collector with water filtration made from readily available

materials. After creating the device, the researcher collected sufficient data by testing it on actual

sewage. The testing portion of this study entails collecting data from a variety of testing

approaches, including functionality tests, reliability tests, reaction time tests, and others. This is

also used to assess the device's accuracy and dependability in collecting rubbish from sewage.
