 Directions

Goal: Collect the most pairs of cards. A pair is a match between

the English and Spanish word Cards.

• Play in teams of 3-6 players.

• Deal 5 cards to each player. Place the remaining cards in a pile face down.
• Dealer goes first and play proceeds to the left.
• Player one asks the person to his left for a card. If the player has that card in his hand, then he
must give the card over to player 1. If he does not have the card, then he says “!Pesca!” and
player one draws a card from the pile and adds it to his cards.
• Play continues to the left until no more cards are left in the pile or a player has no more cards
in his hands.
• Once players get a pair,they should place them together,face up, in front of them.
• Player with the most pairs of cards wins!

Alternate Version: If the pile of cards empties before any player creates all of their
matches, game play can continue until the first person has no more cards.
 Teacher Tips

• Pages are set to print cards duplex style

(front to back). You can avoid using the
pesca back cards by printing the even
pages only.

• Print, Laminate for extra durability and

cut out to create decks of cards.
