1. A. USE & STRUCTURE

 USE
- We use the passive voice when the object of the verb is more important than the subject.
- We do not know who the agent is.
- When it is obvious to the listener or reader who the agent is.
 STRUCTURE
The structure of the passive voice is very simple:
Subject + auxiliary verb (be) + main verb (past participle) + BY (agent)
The letters + are + delivered * from Monday to Thursday
Peter + was + employed + by this company

1. B. PRESENT PASSIVE
When the active voice is in Present Simple, the passive voice’s structure of the sentence
will be:
Subject + am/is/are + Past participle
Example: Active voice: Lorna posts all her photos on social media.
Passive voice: All her photos are posted on social media by Lorna
1. B. PAST PASSIVE
When the active voice is in Past Simple, the passive voice’s structure of the sentence will
be:
Subject + was/ were + Past participle
Example: Active voice: Lorna posted all her photos on social media.
Passive voice: All her photos were posted on social media by Lorna
1. C. FUTURE PASSIVE
When the active voice is in Future Simple, the passive voice’s structure of the sentence will
be:
Subject + Will be + Past participle
Example: Active voice: He will deliver the letters.
Passive voice: The letters will be delivered
1. D. PRESENT PERFECT PASSIVE
When the active voice is in Present Perfect Simple, the passive voice’s structure of the
sentence will be:
Subject + has/have been + Past participle
